- Even a fool, when he keeps silent, is considered wise;
When he closes his lips, he is considered prudent. - One who is slow to anger has great understanding;
But one who is quick-tempered exalts foolishness. - Because in much wisdom there is much grief; and increasing knowledge results in increasing pain.
- Blessed is a person who finds wisdom,
And one who obtains understanding. - The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge;
Fools despise wisdom and instruction. - The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom,
And the knowledge of the Holy One is understanding. - Know that wisdom is the same for your soul;
If you find it, then there will be a future,
And your hope will not be cut off. - I have instructed you in the way of wisdom;
I have led you in upright paths. - Oh, the depth of the riches, both of the wisdom and knowledge of God! How unsearchable are His judgments and unfathomable His ways!
- One who walks with wise people will be wise,
But a companion of fools will suffer harm. - Acquire wisdom! Acquire understanding!
Do not forget nor turn away from the words of my mouth. - The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom;
All those who follow His commandments have a good understanding;
His praise endures forever. - Words from the mouth of a wise person are gracious, while the lips of a fool consume him.
- One person values one day over another, another values every day the same. Each person must be fully convinced in his own mind.
- That their hearts may be encouraged, having been knit together in love, and that they would attain to all the wealth that comes from the full assurance of understanding, resulting in a true knowledge of God’s mystery, that is, Christ Himself.
- My son, if your heart is wise,
My own heart also will be glad. - The Law of the Lord is perfect, restoring the soul;
The testimony of the Lord is sure, making wise the simple. - With his mouth the godless person destroys his neighbor,
But through knowledge the righteous will be rescued. - A fool always loses his temper,
But a wise person holds it back. - A fool’s lips bring strife,
And his mouth invites beatings. - The father of the righteous will greatly rejoice,
And he who fathers a wise son will be glad in him. - Turn to my rebuke,
Behold, I will pour out my spirit on you;
I will make my words known to you. - A fool’s anger is known at once,
But a prudent person conceals dishonor. - Many will be purged, cleansed, and refined, but the wicked will act wickedly; and none of the wicked will understand, but those who have insight will understand.
- A fool rejects his father’s discipline,
But he who complies with rebuke is sensible.
A wise son makes a father glad,
But a foolish son is a grief to his mother.A prudent person sees evil and hides himself;
But the naive proceed, and pay the penalty. But now faith, hope, and love remain, these three; but the greatest of these is love.Next verse!With image
