Chinese (traditional)Oh, how great are God’s riches and wisdom and knowledge! How impossible it is for us to understand his decisions and his ways! Jesus told him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one can come to the Father except through me.” Heal the sick, raise the dead, cure those with leprosy, and cast out demons. Give as freely as you have received! Charm is deceptive, and beauty does not last;
but a woman who fears the Lord will be greatly praised. The faithful love of the Lord never ends!
His mercies never cease.
Great is his faithfulness;
his mercies begin afresh each morning. God sent his Son into the world not to judge the world, but to save the world through him. The Savior—yes, the Messiah, the Lord—has been born today in Bethlehem, the city of David! Better to have little, with fear for the Lord,
than to have great treasure and inner turmoil. For a child is born to us,
a son is given to us.
The government will rest on his shoulders.
And he will be called:
Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God,
Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. For everything there is a season,
a time for every activity under heaven. A gossip goes around telling secrets,
but those who are trustworthy can keep a confidence. Then if my people who are called by my name will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sins and restore their land. Then God said, “Look! I have given you every seed-bearing plant throughout the earth and all the fruit trees for your food.” The one thing I ask of the Lord—
the thing I seek most—
is to live in the house of the Lord all the days of my life,
delighting in the Lord’s perfections
and meditating in his Temple. I am overwhelmed with joy in the Lord my God!
For he has dressed me with the clothing of salvation
and draped me in a robe of righteousness.
I am like a bridegroom dressed for his wedding
or a bride with her jewels. Therefore, since we have been made right in God’s sight by faith, we have peace with God because of what Jesus Christ our Lord has done for us. For who is God except the Lord?
Who but our God is a solid rock? You want what you don’t have, so you scheme and kill to get it. You are jealous of what others have, but you can’t get it, so you fight and wage war to take it away from them. Yet you don’t have what you want because you don’t ask God for it. I am the Lord, the God of all the peoples of the world. Is anything too hard for me? Don’t trap yourself by making a rash promise to God
and only later counting the cost. Indeed, we all make many mistakes. For if we could control our tongues, we would be perfect and could also control ourselves in every other way. So faith comes from hearing, that is, hearing the Good News about Christ. Great is the Lord! He is most worthy of praise!
No one can measure his greatness. And God has given us his Spirit as proof that we live in him and he in us. Work at living in peace with everyone, and work at living a holy life, for those who are not holy will not see the Lord. Wise words bring approval,
but fools are destroyed by their own words. The end of the world is coming soon. Therefore, be earnest and disciplined in your prayers. But if you remain in me and my words remain in you, you may ask for anything you want, and it will be granted! Too much talk leads to sin.
Be sensible and keep your mouth shut. So humble yourselves before God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. Then Jesus told him, “You believe because you have seen me. Blessed are those who believe without seeing me.” Deceit fills hearts that are plotting evil;
joy fills hearts that are planning peace!
