I called upon the Lord in distress:
the Lord answered me, and set me in a large place. Who hath saved us, and called us with an holy calling, not according to our works, but according to his own purpose and grace, which was given us in Christ Jesus before the world began. For the scripture saith, Whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed. Open thy mouth, judge righteously,
and plead the cause of the poor and needy. Wherefore, my beloved brethren, let every man be swift to hear, slow to speak, slow to wrath. Who gave himself for us, that he might redeem us from all iniquity, and purify unto himself a peculiar people, zealous of good works. Search me, O God, and know my heart:
try me, and know my thoughts:
And see if there be any wicked way in me,
and lead me in the way everlasting. Therefore all things whatsoever ye would that men should do to you, do ye even so to them: for this is the law and the prophets. My little children, let us not love in word, neither in tongue; but in deed and in truth. The eyes of the Lord are upon the righteous,
and his ears are open unto their cry. Since thou wast precious in my sight,
thou hast been honourable, and I have loved thee:
therefore will I give men for thee,
and people for thy life. Faithful is he that calleth you, who also will do it. A fool despiseth his father's instruction:
but he that regardeth reproof is prudent. And these words, which I command thee this day, shall be in thine heart: And thou shalt teach them diligently unto thy children, and shalt talk of them when thou sittest in thine house, and when thou walkest by the way, and when thou liest down, and when thou risest up. I am the door: by me if any man enter in, he shall be saved, and shall go in and out, and find pasture. What time I am afraid, I will trust in thee. Call unto me, and I will answer thee, and show thee great and mighty things, which thou knowest not. Watch and pray, that ye enter not into temptation: the spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak. A froward man soweth strife:
and a whisperer separateth chief friends. Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword? Notwithstanding in this rejoice not, that the spirits are subject unto you; but rather rejoice, because your names are written in heaven. But I will sing of thy power;
yea, I will sing aloud of thy mercy in the morning:
for thou hast been my defence
and refuge in the day of my trouble. Let nothing be done through strife or vainglory; but in lowliness of mind let each esteem other better than themselves. The Lord our God be with us, as he was with our fathers: let him not leave us, nor forsake us. Treasures of wickedness profit nothing:
but righteousness delivereth from death. I say unto you, that likewise joy shall be in heaven over one sinner that repenteth, more than over ninety and nine just persons, which need no repentance. And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not. As for God, his way is perfect;
the word of the Lord is tried:
he is a buckler to all them that trust in him. Let us not therefore judge one another any more: but judge this rather, that no man put a stumblingblock or an occasion to fall in his brother's way. But let him ask in faith, nothing wavering. For he that wavereth is like a wave of the sea driven with the wind and tossed. Praise ye the Lord. Blessed is the man that feareth the Lord,
that delighteth greatly in his commandments. The Lord our God be with us, as he was with our fathers: let him not leave us, nor forsake us. Wherewithal shall a young man cleanse his way?
by taking heed thereto according to thy word.Next verse!With image
