Chinese (traditional)Paul said, “John baptized with the baptism of repentance, telling the people to believe in the one who was to come after him, that is, in Jesus.” Keep straight the path of your feet,
and all your ways will be sure. What then are we to say about these things? If God is for us, who is against us? Jesus said to her, “Did I not tell you that if you believed, you would see the glory of God?” It is well with those who deal generously and lend,
who conduct their affairs with justice. Little children, keep yourselves from idols. A new heart I will give you, and a new spirit I will put within you; and I will remove from your body the heart of stone and give you a heart of flesh. Better is a little with the fear of the Lord
than great treasure and trouble with it. Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! By his great mercy he has given us a new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead. I will make them and the region around my hill a blessing; and I will send down the showers in their season; they shall be showers of blessing. I say to the Lord, “You are my Lord;
I have no good apart from you.” Do not let your hearts be troubled. Believe in God, believe also in me. And I will ask the Father, and he will give you another Advocate, to be with you forever. A generous person will be enriched,
and one who gives water will get water. If I give away all my possessions, and if I hand over my body so that I may boast, but do not have love, I gain nothing. Give to everyone who begs from you; and if anyone takes away your goods, do not ask for them again. God, the Lord, is my strength;
he makes my feet like the feet of a deer,
and makes me tread upon the heights. For in it the righteousness of God is revealed through faith for faith; as it is written, “The one who is righteous will live by faith.” You shall not murder; You shall not commit adultery; You shall not steal; You shall not bear false witness; Honor your father and mother; also, You shall love your neighbor as yourself. Do not swerve to the right or to the left;
turn your foot away from evil. He who supplies seed to the sower and bread for food will supply and multiply your seed for sowing and increase the harvest of your righteousness. Cure the sick, raise the dead, cleanse the lepers, cast out demons. You received without payment; give without payment. Hope deferred makes the heart sick,
but a desire fulfilled is a tree of life. For you were called to freedom, brothers and sisters; only do not use your freedom as an opportunity for self-indulgence, but through love become slaves to one another. When you realize your guilt in any of these, you shall confess the sin that you have committed. Banish anxiety from your mind, and put away pain from your body; for youth and the dawn of life are vanity. So do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will bring worries of its own. Today's trouble is enough for today. You want something and do not have it; so you commit murder. And you covet something and cannot obtain it; so you engage in disputes and conflicts. You do not have, because you do not ask. And he said to them, “Go into all the world and proclaim the good news to the whole creation.” So let us not grow weary in doing what is right, for we will reap at harvest time, if we do not give up.Next verse!With image
