Chinese (traditional)Take no part in the unfruitful works of darkness, but instead expose them. For it is shameful even to speak of the things that they do in secret. So God blessed the seventh day and made it holy, because on it God rested from all his work that he had done in creation. The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want.
He makes me lie down in green pastures.
He leads me beside still waters. As for what was sown among thorns, this is the one who hears the word, but the cares of the world and the deceitfulness of riches choke the word, and it proves unfruitful. But I with the voice of thanksgiving
will sacrifice to you;
what I have vowed I will pay.
Salvation belongs to the Lord! A fool gives full vent to his spirit,
but a wise man quietly holds it back. Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you. And my God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus. By day the Lord commands his steadfast love,
and at night his song is with me,
a prayer to the God of my life. But thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ. For though we walk in the flesh, we are not waging war according to the flesh. Blessed is the one
whose transgression is forgiven,
whose sin is covered. Jesus answered him, “If anyone loves me, he will keep my word, and my Father will love him, and we will come to him and make our home with him.” Come now, let us reason together, says the Lord:
though your sins are like scarlet,
they shall be as white as snow;
though they are red like crimson,
they shall become like wool. Praise the Lord! Blessed is the man who fears the Lord,
who greatly delights in his commandments! Little children, you are from God and have overcome them, for he who is in you is greater than he who is in the world. What then? Are we to sin because we are not under law but under grace? By no means! When pride comes, then comes disgrace,
but with the humble is wisdom. Beloved, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits to see whether they are from God, for many false prophets have gone out into the world. Nothing is covered up that will not be revealed, or hidden that will not be known. Oh give thanks to the Lord; call upon his name;
make known his deeds among the peoples! There is therefore now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus. For the law of the Spirit of life has set you free in Christ Jesus from the law of sin and death. Live as people who are free, not using your freedom as a cover-up for evil, but living as servants of God. The law of the Lord is perfect,
reviving the soul;
the testimony of the Lord is sure,
making wise the simple. Then Peter came up and said to him, “Lord, how often will my brother sin against me, and I forgive him? As many as seven times?” Jesus said to him, “I do not say to you seven times, but seventy-seven times.” Consider the ravens: they neither sow nor reap, they have neither storehouse nor barn, and yet God feeds them. Of how much more value are you than the birds! I have taught you the way of wisdom;
I have led you in the paths of uprightness. For where two or three are gathered in my name, there am I among them. God, having raised up his servant, sent him to you first, to bless you by turning every one of you from your wickedness. With my whole heart I seek you;
let me not wander from your commandments! And he said to them, “Go into all the world and proclaim the gospel to the whole creation.” Arise, shine, for your light has come,
and the glory of the Lord has risen upon you.Next verse!With image
