Chinese (traditional)God abides in anyone who acknowledges
that Jesus is the Son of God,
and that person abides in God. May the favor of the Lord, our God, rest upon us.
And may the work of our hands prosper—
indeed, may the work of our hands prosper. Bring the tithes in full into the treasury
so that there may be food in my house.
Put me thus to the test,
says the Lord of hosts,
and see if I will not open
the windows of heaven for you
and pour down blessings upon you
without measure. But when you pray, go into your room, close the door, and pray to your Father in secret. And your Father who sees everything that is done in secret will reward you. The Lord God is my strength;
he makes my feet as swift as those of a deer
and enables me to tread on the heights. But he answered me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for power is made perfect in weakness.” Hence, I will boast most gladly of my weaknesses, in order that the power of Christ may dwell within me. Let us remain firm in the confession of our hope without wavering, for the one who made the promise is trustworthy. Do not withhold kindness from anyone to whom it is due
when it is in your power to grant it. Therefore, you must also be prepared, because the Son of Man will come at an hour when you do not expect him. However, those who want riches fall into temptations and are trapped into many senseless and harmful desires that plunge them into ruin and destruction. I say to the Lord, “You are my Lord;
I have no good apart from you.” Do not let your hearts be troubled.
You place your trust in God.
Trust also in me. Although the mountains may be shaken
and the hills may totter,
my steadfast love will not depart from you,
and my covenant of peace will never be shaken,
says the Lord who has compassion on you. Do not assert that the past was better than the present,
for such a statement is not a sign of wisdom. We have come to know
and to believe in
the love that God has for us.
God is love,
and whoever abides in love
abides in God,
and God in him. For from him and through him and for him are all things. To him be glory forever. Amen. A generous person will be enriched;
he who refreshes others will also be refreshed. In Christ
and through his blood
we have redemption
and the forgiveness of our sins.
In accord with the riches of his grace. He said to them, “Do not be alarmed. You are looking for Jesus of Nazareth, who was crucified. He has been raised. He is not here. See the place where they laid him.” I wait for the Lord in anxious expectation;
I place my hope in his word. Although it was our afflictions that he bore,
our sufferings that he endured,
we thought of him as stricken,
as struck down by God and afflicted. Every day, united in spirit, they would assemble together in the temple. They would break bread in their homes and share their food with joyful and generous hearts as they praised God, and they were regarded with favor by all the people. And day by day the Lord added to those who were being saved. It is better to have a little and fear the Lord
than to possess immense wealth and suffer anguish. So Christ, having been offered once to take away the sins of many, will appear a second time, not to deal with sin but to bring salvation to those who are eagerly waiting for him. I give them eternal life,
and they will never perish.
No one will ever snatch them from my hand.
My Father who has given them to me
is greater than all,
and no one can snatch them
out of the Father’s hand.
I and the Father are one. Rejoice with all your heart, O daughter Zion.
Shout for joy, O daughter Jerusalem.
See, your king is coming to you,
triumphant and victorious,
humble and riding on a donkey,
on a colt, the foal of a donkey. Live in harmony with one another. Do not consider yourself to be better than others, but associate with the lowly, and never be conceited. For where there is envy and selfish ambition, there will also be disharmony and every type of wickedness. Make your ways known to me, O Lord;
teach me your paths. Behold, I am standing at the door, knocking. If one of you hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in and dine with that person and that person with me. As far as the east is from the west,
so far has he removed our transgressions from us.
