Chinese (traditional)For every house has a builder, but the one who built everything is God. Wash yourselves and be clean!
Get your sins out of my sight.
Give up your evil ways. Accept other believers who are weak in faith, and don’t argue with them about what they think is right or wrong. And since we know he hears us when we make our requests, we also know that he will give us what we ask for. My future is in your hands.
Rescue me from those who hunt me down relentlessly. Jesus replied, “I am the bread of life. Whoever comes to me will never be hungry again. Whoever believes in me will never be thirsty.” Don’t be misled—you cannot mock the justice of God. You will always harvest what you plant. Giving a gift can open doors;
it gives access to important people! Whatever you give is acceptable if you give it eagerly. And give according to what you have, not what you don’t have. But who am I, and who are my people, that we could give anything to you? Everything we have has come from you, and we give you only what you first gave us! God is our refuge and strength,
always ready to help in times of trouble. You can pray for anything, and if you have faith, you will receive it. Look at the birds. They don’t plant or harvest or store food in barns, for your heavenly Father feeds them. And aren’t you far more valuable to him than they are? Love prospers when a fault is forgiven,
but dwelling on it separates close friends. Don’t love money; be satisfied with what you have. For God has said,
“I will never fail you.
I will never abandon you.” For I can do everything through Christ, who gives me strength. O Lord, you are so good, so ready to forgive,
so full of unfailing love for all who ask for your help. Understand, therefore, that the Lord your God is indeed God. He is the faithful God who keeps his covenant for a thousand generations and lavishes his unfailing love on those who love him and obey his commands. Above all, you must realize that no prophecy in Scripture ever came from the prophet’s own understanding, or from human initiative. No, those prophets were moved by the Holy Spirit, and they spoke from God. The Lord makes some poor and others rich;
he brings some down and lifts others up. And then he told them, “Go into all the world and preach the Good News to everyone.” For we live by believing and not by seeing. How joyful are those who fear the Lord—
all who follow his ways! When you see the tassels, you will remember and obey all the commands of the Lord instead of following your own desires and defiling yourselves, as you are prone to do. I am leaving you with a gift—peace of mind and heart. And the peace I give is a gift the world cannot give. So don’t be troubled or afraid. Look at the proud!
They trust in themselves, and their lives are crooked.
But the righteous will live by their faithfulness to God. And let the peace that comes from Christ rule in your hearts. For as members of one body you are called to live in peace. And always be thankful. So encourage each other and build each other up, just as you are already doing. Be still in the presence of the Lord,
and wait patiently for him to act.
Don’t worry about evil people who prosper
or fret about their wicked schemes. Oh, that they would always have hearts like this, that they might fear me and obey all my commands! If they did, they and their descendants would prosper forever. May the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, the love of God, and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit be with you all. Don’t be misled—you cannot mock the justice of God. You will always harvest what you plant. But those who trust in the Lord will find new strength.
They will soar high on wings like eagles.
They will run and not grow weary.
They will walk and not faint.Next verse!With image
