Chinese (traditional)Dear brothers and sisters, I close my letter with these last words: Be joyful. Grow to maturity. Encourage each other. Live in harmony and peace. Then the God of love and peace will be with you. Devote yourselves to prayer with an alert mind and a thankful heart. Let everything that breathes sing praises to the Lord!
Praise the Lord! But anyone who does not love does not know God, for God is love. If you need wisdom, ask our generous God, and he will give it to you. He will not rebuke you for asking. Better to have little, with fear for the Lord,
than to have great treasure and inner turmoil. And then I heard every creature in heaven and on earth and under the earth and in the sea. They sang:
“Blessing and honor and glory and power
belong to the one sitting on the throne
and to the Lamb forever and ever.” And do everything with love. And whatever you do or say, do it as a representative of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks through him to God the Father. The earth is the Lord’s, and everything in it.
The world and all its people belong to him. God showed how much he loved us by sending his one and only Son into the world so that we might have eternal life through him. I have told you all this so that you may have peace in me. Here on earth you will have many trials and sorrows. But take heart, because I have overcome the world. O Lord, if you heal me, I will be truly healed;
if you save me, I will be truly saved.
My praises are for you alone! And the Father who knows all hearts knows what the Spirit is saying, for the Spirit pleads for us believers in harmony with God’s own will. Finally, all of you should be of one mind. Sympathize with each other. Love each other as brothers and sisters. Be tenderhearted, and keep a humble attitude. O God, you are my God;
I earnestly search for you.
My soul thirsts for you;
my whole body longs for you
in this parched and weary land
where there is no water. Don’t misunderstand why I have come. I did not come to abolish the law of Moses or the writings of the prophets. No, I came to accomplish their purpose. For God was in Christ, reconciling the world to himself, no longer counting people’s sins against them. And he gave us this wonderful message of reconciliation. Yet it was our weaknesses he carried;
it was our sorrows that weighed him down.
And we thought his troubles were a punishment from God,
a punishment for his own sins! This Good News tells us how God makes us right in his sight. This is accomplished from start to finish by faith. As the Scriptures say, “It is through faith that a righteous person has life.” Repent of your sins and turn to God, for the Kingdom of Heaven is near. Finally, I confessed all my sins to you
and stopped trying to hide my guilt.
I said to myself, “I will confess my rebellion to the Lord.”
And you forgave me! All my guilt is gone. But if we look forward to something we don’t yet have, we must wait patiently and confidently. May the Lord lead your hearts into a full understanding and expression of the love of God and the patient endurance that comes from Christ. Once again you will have compassion on us.
You will trample our sins under your feet
and throw them into the depths of the ocean! Be careful then, dear brothers and sisters. Make sure that your own hearts are not evil and unbelieving, turning you away from the living God. The Lord himself will fight for you. Just stay calm. Good comes to those who lend money generously
and conduct their business fairly. So I say, let the Holy Spirit guide your lives. Then you won’t be doing what your sinful nature craves. Think about it: Just as a parent disciplines a child, the Lord your God disciplines you for your own good. Deceit fills hearts that are plotting evil;
joy fills hearts that are planning peace! Above all, clothe yourselves with love, which binds us all together in perfect harmony.Next verse!With image
