Chinese (traditional)Be strong, and let your heart take courage,
all you who wait for the Lord. The Lord our God be with us, as he was with our ancestors; may he not leave us or abandon us. For what will it profit them to gain the whole world and forfeit their life? A cheerful heart is a good medicine,
but a downcast spirit dries up the bones. Therefore you have no excuse, whoever you are, when you judge others; for in passing judgment on another you condemn yourself, because you, the judge, are doing the very same things. For the grace of God has appeared, bringing salvation to all, training us to renounce impiety and worldly passions, and in the present age to live lives that are self-controlled, upright, and godly. This is the day that the Lord has made;
let us rejoice and be glad in it. As sorrowful, yet always rejoicing; as poor, yet making many rich; as having nothing, and yet possessing everything. Now may the Lord of peace himself give you peace at all times in all ways. The Lord be with all of you. A friend loves at all times,
and kinsfolk are born to share adversity. And though one might prevail against another, two will withstand one. A threefold cord is not quickly broken. You are the salt of the earth; but if salt has lost its taste, how can its saltiness be restored? It is no longer good for anything, but is thrown out and trampled under foot. Wait for the Lord;
be strong, and let your heart take courage;
wait for the Lord! A new heart I will give you, and a new spirit I will put within you; and I will remove from your body the heart of stone and give you a heart of flesh. When Jesus heard this, he replied, “Do not fear. Only believe, and she will be saved.” A gentle tongue is a tree of life,
but perverseness in it breaks the spirit. For what human being knows what is truly human except the human spirit that is within? So also no one comprehends what is truly God's except the Spirit of God. I will put my spirit within you, and make you follow my statutes and be careful to observe my ordinances. This God—his way is perfect;
the promise of the Lord proves true;
he is a shield for all who take refuge in him. Jesus answered him, “Very truly, I tell you, no one can see the kingdom of God without being born from above.” Like newborn infants, long for the pure, spiritual milk, so that by it you may grow into salvation. The integrity of the upright guides them,
but the crookedness of the treacherous destroys them. But when he heard this, he said, “Those who are well have no need of a physician, but those who are sick.” For in Christ Jesus you are all children of God through faith. As many of you as were baptized into Christ have clothed yourselves with Christ. I keep the Lord always before me;
because he is at my right hand, I shall not be moved. Riches and honor come from you, and you rule over all. In your hand are power and might; and it is in your hand to make great and to give strength to all. Conduct yourselves wisely toward outsiders, making the most of the time. Let your speech always be gracious, seasoned with salt, so that you may know how you ought to answer everyone. When you make a vow to God, do not delay fulfilling it; for he has no pleasure in fools. Fulfill what you vow. The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ be with your spirit. So we fasted and petitioned our God for this, and he listened to our entreaty. When the righteous cry for help, the Lord hears,
and rescues them from all their troubles.
The Lord is near to the brokenhearted,
and saves the crushed in spirit. Deceit is in the mind of those who plan evil,
but those who counsel peace have joy. The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases,
his mercies never come to an end;
they are new every morning;
great is your faithfulness.Next verse!With image
