And everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved. But I gave them this command: Obey me, and I will be your God and you will be my people. Walk in obedience to all I command you, that it may go well with you. Above all else, guard your heart,
for everything you do flows from it. I have not come to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance. So we fasted and petitioned our God about this, and he answered our prayer. Our God is in heaven;
he does whatever pleases him. God is spirit, and his worshipers must worship in the Spirit and in truth. So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen, since what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal. Let love and faithfulness never leave you;
bind them around your neck,
write them on the tablet of your heart.
Then you will win favor and a good name
in the sight of God and man. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. If I have the gift of prophecy and can fathom all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have a faith that can move mountains, but do not have love, I am nothing. For his anger lasts only a moment,
but his favor lasts a lifetime;
weeping may stay for the night,
but rejoicing comes in the morning. Let no debt remain outstanding, except the continuing debt to love one another, for whoever loves others has fulfilled the law. Blessed is the one who perseveres under trial because, having stood the test, that person will receive the crown of life that the Lord has promised to those who love him. I have swept away your offenses like a cloud,
your sins like the morning mist.
Return to me,
for I have redeemed you. We have come to share in Christ, if indeed we hold our original conviction firmly to the very end. Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ loved the church and gave himself up for her to make her holy, cleansing her by the washing with water through the word. You, Lord, are forgiving and good,
abounding in love to all who call to you. He who did not spare his own Son, but gave him up for us all—how will he not also, along with him, graciously give us all things? All the prophets testify about him that everyone who believes in him receives forgiveness of sins through his name. Deceit is in the hearts of those who plot evil,
but those who promote peace have joy. Do not be deceived: God cannot be mocked. A man reaps what he sows. He said to them, “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to all creation.” As far as the east is from the west,
so far has he removed our transgressions from us. I am the gate; whoever enters through me will be saved. They will come in and go out, and find pasture. For I resolved to know nothing while I was with you except Jesus Christ and him crucified. Wash and make yourselves clean.
Take your evil deeds out of my sight;
stop doing wrong. Therefore, get rid of all moral filth and the evil that is so prevalent and humbly accept the word planted in you, which can save you. In your relationships with one another, have the same mindset as Christ Jesus. I sought the Lord, and he answered me;
he delivered me from all my fears. Those whom I love I rebuke and discipline. So be earnest and repent. The eyes of the Lord are on the righteous,
and his ears are attentive to their cry. Or do you not know that wrongdoers will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived: Neither the sexually immoral nor idolaters nor adulterers nor men who have sex with men nor thieves nor the greedy nor drunkards nor slanderers nor swindlers will inherit the kingdom of God.Next verse!With image
