- They replied, “Believe in the Lord Jesus, and you will be saved—you and your household.”
- About midnight Paul and Silas were praying and singing hymns to God, and the other prisoners were listening to them.
- Repent, then, and turn to God, so that your sins may be wiped out, that times of refreshing may come from the Lord.
- Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to mankind by which we must be saved.
- For this is what the Lord has commanded us:
“I have made you a light for the Gentiles,
that you may bring salvation to the ends of the earth.” - Peter replied, “Repent and be baptized, every one of you, in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins. And you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.”
- And everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.
- They saw what seemed to be tongues of fire that separated and came to rest on each of them. All of them were filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak in other tongues as the Spirit enabled them.
- In the past God overlooked such ignorance, but now he commands all people everywhere to repent.
- And now what are you waiting for? Get up, be baptized and wash your sins away, calling on his name.
Who gave himself for us to redeem us from all wickedness and to purify for himself a people that are his very own, eager to do what is good. Don’t you know that you yourselves are God’s temple and that God’s Spirit dwells in your midst?Next verse! With image
