- The times of ignorance therefore God overlooked. But now he commands that all people everywhere should repent.
- ‘Return, you backsliding Israel,’ says Yahweh; ‘I will not look in anger on you, for I am merciful,’ says Yahweh. ‘I will not keep anger forever.’
- Nevertheless in your manifold mercies you didn’t make a full end of them, nor forsake them; for you are a gracious and merciful God.
- Blessed is he whose disobedience is forgiven,
whose sin is covered. - When Jesus heard it, he said to them, “Those who are healthy have no need for a physician, but those who are sick do.”
- Who delivered us out of the power of darkness, and translated us into the Kingdom of the Son of his love, in whom we have our redemption, the forgiveness of our sins.
- “Come now, and let’s reason together,” says Yahweh:
“Though your sins are as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow.
Though they are red like crimson, they shall be as wool.” - Whoever speaks a word against the Son of Man, it will be forgiven him; but whoever speaks against the Holy Spirit, it will not be forgiven him, either in this age, or in that which is to come.
- Therefore I tell you, every sin and blasphemy will be forgiven men, but the blasphemy against the Spirit will not be forgiven men.
- He will again have compassion on us.
He will tread our iniquities under foot.
You will cast all their sins into the depths of the sea. - Jesus said, “Father, forgive them, for they don’t know what they are doing.”
Dividing his garments among them, they cast lots. - Take words with you, and return to Yahweh.
Tell him, “Forgive all our sins,
and accept that which is good;
so we offer bulls as we vowed of our lips.” - He took the cup, gave thanks, and gave to them, saying, “All of you drink it, for this is my blood of the new covenant, which is poured out for many for the remission of sins.”
- According to the law, nearly everything is cleansed with blood, and apart from shedding of blood there is no remission.
- All the prophets testify about him, that through his name everyone who believes in him will receive remission of sins.
- God saw their works, that they turned from their evil way. God relented of the disaster which he said he would do to them, and he didn’t do it.
