- Who can hide in secret places so that I cannot see them? says the Lord. Do I not fill heaven and earth? says the Lord.
- The earth is the Lord's and all that is in it,
the world, and those who live in it. - And I heard a loud voice from the throne saying,
“See, the home of God is among mortals.
He will dwell with them as their God;
they will be his peoples,
and God himself will be with them;
he will wipe every tear from their eyes.
Death will be no more;
mourning and crying and pain will be no more,
for the first things have passed away.” - It is that very Spirit bearing witness with our spirit that we are children of God.
- So God created humankind in his image,
in the image of God he created them;
male and female he created them. - No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us.
- He reveals deep and hidden things;
he knows what is in the darkness,
and light dwells with him. - God is faithful; by him you were called into the fellowship of his Son, Jesus Christ our Lord.
- I will be glad and exult in you;
I will sing praise to your name, O Most High. - Adulterers! Do you not know that friendship with the world is enmity with God? Therefore whoever wishes to be a friend of the world becomes an enemy of God.
- Thus you shall keep my commandments and observe them: I am the Lord.
- Let every person be subject to the governing authorities; for there is no authority except from God, and those authorities that exist have been instituted by God.
- Then God said, “Let us make humankind in our image, according to our likeness; and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the birds of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the wild animals of the earth, and over every creeping thing that creeps upon the earth.”
- These things God has revealed to us through the Spirit; for the Spirit searches everything, even the depths of God.
- Our God is in the heavens;
he does whatever he pleases. - I will sanctify my great name, which has been profaned among the nations, and which you have profaned among them; and the nations shall know that I am the Lord, says the Lord God, when through you I display my holiness before their eyes.
- The Almighty —we cannot find him;
he is great in power and justice,
and abundant righteousness he will not violate. - For who is God, but the Lord?
And who is a rock, except our God? - This is the word of the Lord to Zerubbabel: Not by might, nor by power, but by my spirit, says the Lord of hosts.
- But do not ignore this one fact, beloved, that with the Lord one day is like a thousand years, and a thousand years are like one day.
- For a thousand years in your sight
are like yesterday when it is past,
or like a watch in the night. - Who builds his upper chambers in the heavens,
and founds his vault upon the earth;
who calls for the waters of the sea,
and pours them out upon the surface of the earth—
the Lord is his name. - And ‘to love him with all the heart, and with all the understanding, and with all the strength,’ and ‘to love one's neighbor as oneself,’—this is much more important than all whole burnt offerings and sacrifices.
- And a voice from heaven said, “This is my Son, the Beloved, with whom I am well pleased.”
- You believe that God is one; you do well. Even the demons believe—and shudder.
