  • Before the mountains were brought forth,
    or ever you had formed the earth and the world,
    from everlasting to everlasting you are God.
  • Even though you intended to do harm to me, God intended it for good, in order to preserve a numerous people, as he is doing today.
  • Be still, and know that I am God!
    I am exalted among the nations,
    I am exalted in the earth.
  • For who is God except the Lord?
    And who is a rock besides our God?
  • May God continue to bless us;
    let all the ends of the earth revere him.
  • And this is eternal life, that they may know you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom you have sent.
  • The young lions suffer want and hunger,
    but those who seek the Lord lack no good thing.
  • By this we know that we abide in him and he in us, because he has given us of his Spirit.
  • And every tongue should confess
    that Jesus Christ is Lord,
    to the glory of God the Father.
  • This is the message we have heard from him and proclaim to you, that God is light and in him there is no darkness at all.
  • Finally, be strong in the Lord and in the strength of his power.
  • Thus you shall keep my commandments and observe them: I am the Lord.
  • O the depth of the riches and wisdom and knowledge of God! How unsearchable are his judgments and how inscrutable his ways!
  • Jesus answered them, “This is the work of God, that you believe in him whom he has sent.”
  • Truly the eye of the Lord is on those who fear him,
    on those who hope in his steadfast love.
  • As a deer longs for flowing streams,
    so my soul longs for you, O God.
  • All who obey his commandments abide in him, and he abides in them. And by this we know that he abides in us, by the Spirit that he has given us.
  • It is that very Spirit bearing witness with our spirit that we are children of God.
  • But you, O Lord, reign forever;
    your throne endures to all generations.
  • Beloved, since God loved us so much, we also ought to love one another.
  • Who can hide in secret places so that I cannot see them? says the Lord. Do I not fill heaven and earth? says the Lord.
  • These things God has revealed to us through the Spirit; for the Spirit searches everything, even the depths of God.
  • God is not a human being, that he should lie,
    or a mortal, that he should change his mind.
    Has he promised, and will he not do it?
    Has he spoken, and will he not fulfill it?
  • So God created humankind in his image,
    in the image of God he created them;
    male and female he created them.
  • No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us.

Yet I have been the Lord your God
ever since the land of Egypt;
you know no God but me,
and besides me there is no savior.
