- Out of the depths I cry to you, O Lord.
Lord, hear my voice!
Let your ears be attentive
to the voice of my supplications! - You then, my child, be strong in the grace that is in Christ Jesus.
- No one who conceals transgressions will prosper,
but one who confesses and forsakes them will obtain mercy. - The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, the love of God, and the communion of the Holy Spirit be with all of you.
- What then are we to say? Should we continue in sin in order that grace may abound? By no means! How can we who died to sin go on living in it?
- The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ be with your spirit.
- Grace to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.
- I do not nullify the grace of God; for if justification comes through the law, then Christ died for nothing.
- Nevertheless, in your great mercies you did not make an end of them or forsake them, for you are a gracious and merciful God.
- For I will be merciful toward their iniquities,
and I will remember their sins no more. - What are human beings that you are mindful of them,
mortals that you care for them? - For by the grace given to me I say to everyone among you not to think of yourself more highly than you ought to think, but to think with sober judgment, each according to the measure of faith that God has assigned.
- For he has graciously granted you the privilege not only of believing in Christ, but of suffering for him as well.
- The God of peace will shortly crush Satan under your feet. The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you.
- You who want to be justified by the law have cut yourselves off from Christ; you have fallen away from grace.
- Let the wicked forsake their way,
and the unrighteous their thoughts;
let them return to the Lord, that he may have mercy on them,
and to our God, for he will abundantly pardon. - Then Peter came and said to him, “Lord, if another member of the church sins against me, how often should I forgive? As many as seven times?” Jesus said to him, “Not seven times, but, I tell you, seventy-seven times.”
- Rend your hearts and not your clothing.
Return to the Lord, your God,
for he is gracious and merciful,
slow to anger, and abounding in steadfast love,
and relents from punishing. - Return, faithless Israel,
says the Lord.
I will not look on you in anger,
for I am merciful,
says the Lord;
I will not be angry forever. - Husbands, in the same way, show consideration for your wives in your life together, paying honor to the woman as the weaker sex, since they too are also heirs of the gracious gift of life—so that nothing may hinder your prayers.
- But the tax collector, standing far off, would not even look up to heaven, but was beating his breast and saying, ‘God, be merciful to me, a sinner!’
- When God saw what they did, how they turned from their evil ways, God changed his mind about the calamity that he had said he would bring upon them; and he did not do it.
