- The precepts of the Lord are right,
giving joy to the heart.
The commands of the Lord are radiant,
giving light to the eyes. - To love him with all your heart, with all your understanding and with all your strength, and to love your neighbor as yourself is more important than all burnt offerings and sacrifices.
- But be sure to fear the Lord and serve him faithfully with all your heart; consider what great things he has done for you.
- Flee the evil desires of youth and pursue righteousness, faith, love and peace, along with those who call on the Lord out of a pure heart.
- “Now then,” said Joshua, “throw away the foreign gods that are among you and yield your hearts to the Lord, the God of Israel.”
- I desire to do your will, my God;
your law is within my heart. - When the sentence for a crime is not quickly carried out, people’s hearts are filled with schemes to do wrong.
For who knows a person’s thoughts except their own spirit within them? In the same way no one knows the thoughts of God except the Spirit of God. Therefore everyone who hears these words of mine and puts them into practice is like a wise man who built his house on the rock.Next verse!With image
