Bible Verses about Life

  • The Lord will protect you against all evil;
    he will watch over your life.
    The Lord will watch over your coming and your going
    both now and forevermore.
  • Therefore, take care to live as intelligent people, and do not be like those who are senseless. Make the most of the present time, for this is a wicked age.
  • Just as water reflects one’s face,
    so does one human heart reflect another.
  • For we walk by faith, not by sight.
  • Whatever you do, do it wholeheartedly, as if you were doing it for the Lord and not for others, since you know that you will receive from the Lord an inheritance as your reward for you are serving the Lord Christ.
  • Whoever pursues righteousness and kindness
    will find life and honor too.
  • What does it profit a man to gain the whole world and forfeit his very life?
  • Even should my heart and my flesh fail,
    God is the rock of my heart
    and my portion forever.
  • For:
    “If anyone wishes to love life
    and to experience good days,
    he must restrain his tongue from evil
    and his lips from deceitful speech.
    He must turn away from evil and do good,
    seek peace and pursue it.”
  • For everything there is a season,
    and a time for every activity under heaven.
  • You are truly my rock and my fortress;
    for the sake of your name, lead and guide me.
  • Guard your heart with all possible vigilance,
    for from it flow the wellsprings of life.
  • Make your ways known to me, O Lord;
    teach me your paths.
  • Do not be conformed to the world, but be transformed by the renewal of your minds, so that you will be able to discern the will of God and to know what is good and acceptable and perfect.
  • Jesus answered them,
    “I am the bread of life.
    Whoever comes to me will never be hungry,
    and whoever believes in me will never be thirsty.”
  • Wait quietly for the Lord
    and be patient until he comes.
    Do not fret over the man who prospers
    because of his evil schemes.
  • Only goodness and kindness will follow me
    all the days of my life,
    and I will dwell in the house of the Lord
    forever and ever.
  • He who guards his mouth makes his life secure,
    but one who talks excessively ensures his own downfall.
  • If you obey the command that I give you today, to love the Lord, your God, and to walk in his ways, and to observe his commandments, statutes, and decrees, then you will live and multiply, and the Lord, your God, will bless you in the land that you are entering to possess.
  • Do not assert that the past was better than the present,
    for such a statement is not a sign of wisdom.
  • Whoever believes in me,
    as Scripture has said,
    ‘Streams of living water
    shall flow from within him.’
  • When things are going well, be grateful for your blessings,
    and in times of adversity consider this:
    God has made both of them,
    so that we cannot predict with confidence
    what the future holds.
  • Whoever heeds admonition is on the path to life,
    but anyone who rejects correction goes astray.
  • And now it is no longer I who live, but it is Christ who lives in me. The life I live now in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God who loved me and gave himself up for me.
  • Seek peace with everyone, as well as the holiness without which no one will ever see the Lord.

Who among you is wise and understanding? Prove by your good life that your works are done with the humility that comes from wisdom.

Bible verse of the day

Then I came to realize that all toil and skill in work derive from one person’s envy of another. This also is vanity and a chase after the wind.

Random Bible Verse

Can a woman forget the infant at her breast;
or feel no compassion for the child of her womb?
Even should she forget,
I will never forget you.
Behold, I have inscribed your name
on the palms of my hands;
your walls are continually before my eyes.
