- You show me the path of life.
In your presence there is fullness of joy;
in your right hand are pleasures forevermore. - Hope deferred makes the heart sick,
but a desire fulfilled is a tree of life. - I know that there is nothing better for them than to be happy and enjoy themselves as long as they live; moreover, it is God's gift that all should eat and drink and take pleasure in all their toil.
- I will never forget your precepts,
for by them you have given me life. - If we live, we live to the Lord, and if we die, we die to the Lord; so then, whether we live or whether we die, we are the Lord's.
- Keep straight the path of your feet,
and all your ways will be sure. - God abides in those who confess that Jesus is the Son of God, and they abide in God.
- Or do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit within you, which you have from God, and that you are not your own? For you were bought with a price; therefore glorify God in your body.
- There is a way that seems right to a person,
but its end is the way to death. - Whoever walks in integrity walks securely,
but whoever follows perverse ways will be found out. - To set the mind on the flesh is death, but to set the mind on the Spirit is life and peace.
- All scripture is inspired by God and is useful for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness, so that everyone who belongs to God may be proficient, equipped for every good work.
- For what will it profit them if they gain the whole world but forfeit their life? Or what will they give in return for their life?
- The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy. I came that they may have life, and have it abundantly.
- For freedom Christ has set us free. Stand firm, therefore, and do not submit again to a yoke of slavery.
- If it is possible, so far as it depends on you, live peaceably with all.
- So, whether you eat or drink, or whatever you do, do everything for the glory of God.
- So faith by itself, if it has no works, is dead.
- Remember your creator in the days of your youth, before the days of trouble come, and the years draw near when you will say, “I have no pleasure in them”.
- Whoever has the Son has life; whoever does not have the Son of God does not have life.
- I know what it is to have little, and I know what it is to have plenty. In any and all circumstances I have learned the secret of being well-fed and of going hungry, of having plenty and of being in need.
- Again Jesus spoke to them, saying, “I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness but will have the light of life.”
- Indeed, we live as human beings, but we do not wage war according to human standards.
- Hear, my child, and accept my words,
that the years of your life may be many. - Do not worry about your life, what you will eat, or about your body, what you will wear. For life is more than food, and the body more than clothing.
