Chinese (traditional)- The Lord is merciful and gracious,
slow to anger, and plenteous in mercy. - Yet the Lord will command his lovingkindness in the day time,
and in the night his song shall be with me,
and my prayer unto the God of my life. - Because thy lovingkindness is better than life,
my lips shall praise thee.
Thus will I bless thee while I live:
I will lift up my hands in thy name. - Thou shalt not hate thy brother in thine heart: thou shalt in any wise rebuke thy neighbour, and not suffer sin upon him. Thou shalt not avenge, nor bear any grudge against the children of thy people, but thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself: I am the Lord.
- And beside this, giving all diligence, add to your faith virtue; and to virtue knowledge; And to knowledge temperance; and to temperance patience; and to patience godliness; And to godliness brotherly kindness; and to brotherly kindness charity.
- And though I bestow all my goods to feed the poor, and though I give my body to be burned, and have not charity, it profiteth me nothing.
- But thou, O man of God, flee these things; and follow after righteousness, godliness, faith, love, patience, meekness.
- And walk in love, as Christ also hath loved us, and hath given himself for us an offering and a sacrifice to God for a sweetsmelling savour.
- Beloved, if God so loved us, we ought also to love one another.
- When I said, My foot slippeth;
thy mercy, O Lord, held me up. - For this is the message that ye heard from the beginning, that we should love one another.
- Let brotherly love continue. Be not forgetful to entertain strangers: for thereby some have entertained angels unawares.
- For the mountains shall depart,
and the hills be removed;
but my kindness shall not depart from thee,
neither shall the covenant of my peace be removed,
saith the Lord that hath mercy on thee. - Beloved, let us love one another: for love is of God; and every one that loveth is born of God, and knoweth God.
- And he answering said, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy strength, and with all thy mind; and thy neighbour as thyself.
- For thy mercy is great unto the heavens,
and thy truth unto the clouds. - Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him.
- Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us.
- If ye love me, keep my commandments.
- A new commandment I give unto you, That ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another.
- And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.
- For thou, Lord, art good, and ready to forgive;
and plenteous in mercy unto all them that call upon thee. - For all the law is fulfilled in one word, even in this; Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.
- In this was manifested the love of God toward us, because that God sent his only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through him.
- And hope maketh not ashamed; because the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost which is given unto us.
By this shall all men know that ye are my disciples, if ye have love one to another.If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you. But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.Next verse!With image
