- By this the love of God was revealed in us, that God has sent His only Son into the world so that we may live through Him.

- And this commandment we have from Him, that the one who loves God must also love his brother and sister.
- Hear, Israel! The Lord is our God, the Lord is one! And you shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength.
- But you, beloved, building yourselves up on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Spirit, keep yourselves in the love of God, looking forward to the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ to eternal life.
- Just as a father has compassion on his children,
So the Lord has compassion on those who fear Him. - We ought always to give thanks to God for you, brothers and sisters, as is only fitting, because your faith is increasing abundantly, and the love of each and every one of you toward one another grows ever greater.
- Make Your face shine upon Your servant;
Save me in Your faithfulness. - For God so loved the world, that He gave His only Son, so that everyone who believes in Him will not perish, but have eternal life.
- You, Lord, will not withhold Your compassion from me;
Your mercy and Your truth will continually watch over me.
