Chinese (traditional)- The Lord is compassionate and gracious,
slow to anger, abounding in love. - By day the Lord directs his love,
at night his song is with me—
a prayer to the God of my life. - Because your love is better than life,
my lips will glorify you.
I will praise you as long as I live,
and in your name I will lift up my hands. - Do not hate a fellow Israelite in your heart. Rebuke your neighbor frankly so you will not share in their guilt. Do not seek revenge or bear a grudge against anyone among your people, but love your neighbor as yourself. I am the Lord.
- For this very reason, make every effort to add to your faith goodness; and to goodness, knowledge; and to knowledge, self-control; and to self-control, perseverance; and to perseverance, godliness; and to godliness, mutual affection; and to mutual affection, love.
- If I give all I possess to the poor and give over my body to hardship that I may boast, but do not have love, I gain nothing.
- But you, man of God, flee from all this, and pursue righteousness, godliness, faith, love, endurance and gentleness.
- And walk in the way of love, just as Christ loved us and gave himself up for us as a fragrant offering and sacrifice to God.
- Dear friends, since God so loved us, we also ought to love one another.
- When I said, “My foot is slipping,”
your unfailing love, Lord, supported me. - For this is the message you heard from the beginning: We should love one another.
- Keep on loving one another as brothers and sisters. Do not forget to show hospitality to strangers, for by so doing some people have shown hospitality to angels without knowing it.
- “Though the mountains be shaken
and the hills be removed,
yet my unfailing love for you will not be shaken
nor my covenant of peace be removed,”
says the Lord, who has compassion on you. - Dear friends, let us love one another, for love comes from God. Everyone who loves has been born of God and knows God.
- He answered, ‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength and with all your mind’; and, ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’
- For great is your love, reaching to the heavens;
your faithfulness reaches to the skies. - Do not love the world or anything in the world. If anyone loves the world, love for the Father is not in them.
- No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us.
- If you love me, keep my commands.
- A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another.
- And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.
- You, Lord, are forgiving and good,
abounding in love to all who call to you. - For the entire law is fulfilled in keeping this one command: “Love your neighbor as yourself.”
- This is how God showed his love among us: He sent his one and only Son into the world that we might live through him.
- And hope does not put us to shame, because God’s love has been poured out into our hearts through the Holy Spirit, who has been given to us.
By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another. If you remain in me and my words remain in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be done for you. Live in harmony with one another. Do not be proud, but be willing to associate with people of low position. Do not be conceited.Next verse! With image
