| For if ye forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. | For if you forgive other people for their offenses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. |
| For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them. | For where two or three have gathered together in My name, I am there in their midst. |
| Therefore whosoever heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them, I will liken him unto a wise man, which built his house upon a rock. | Therefore, everyone who hears these words of Mine, and acts on them, will be like a wise man who built his house on the rock. |
| But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you. | But seek first His kingdom and His righteousness, and all these things will be provided to you. |
| Behold the fowls of the air: for they sow not, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feedeth them. Are ye not much better than they? | Look at the birds of the sky, that they do not sow, nor reap, nor gather crops into barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more important than they? |
| Take therefore no thought for the morrow: for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself. Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof. | So do not worry about tomorrow; for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own. |
| But thou, when thou prayest, enter into thy closet, and when thou hast shut thy door, pray to thy Father which is in secret; and thy Father which seeth in secret shall reward thee openly. | But as for you, when you pray, go into your inner room, close your door, and pray to your Father who is in secret; and your Father who sees what is done in secret will reward you. |
| But when ye pray, use not vain repetitions, as the heathen do: for they think that they shall be heard for their much speaking. | And when you are praying, do not use thoughtless repetition as the Gentiles do, for they think that they will be heard because of their many words. |
