Righteousness (2/5)

No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper; and every tongue that shall rise against thee in judgment thou shalt condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord, and their righteousness is of me, saith the Lord.No weapon used against you will prevail, and you will refute every accusation that is raised in court against you. This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord, their vindication from me, says the Lord.
Many are the afflictions of the righteous: but the Lord delivereth him out of them all.The misfortunes of the righteous man are many, but the Lord delivers him, from all of them.
Draw nigh to God, and he will draw nigh to you. Cleanse your hands, ye sinners; and purify your hearts, ye double minded.Draw near to God, and he will draw near to you. Cleanse your hands, you sinners, and purify your hearts, you waverers.
Open thy mouth, judge righteously, and plead the cause of the poor and needy.Speak out and pronounce righteous judgments; defend the rights of the wretched and the poor.
Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much. Therefore, confess your sins to one another and pray for one another, so that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous man is powerful and effective.
Cast thy burden upon the Lord, and he shall sustain thee: he shall never suffer the righteous to be moved.Entrust your cares to the Lord, and he will uphold you; he will never allow the righteous to waver.
But let judgment run down as waters, and righteousness as a mighty stream.Rather, let justice flow like a river, and righteousness like an ever-flowing stream.
Learn to do well; seek judgment, relieve the oppressed, judge the fatherless, plead for the widow. And learn to do good. Pursue justice and rescue the oppressed; listen to the plea of the orphan and defend the widow.
For therein is the righteousness of God revealed from faith to faith: as it is written, The just shall live by faith. In it the righteousness of God is revealed, beginning in faith and established in faith. As it is written: “The one who is righteous will live through faith.”
Then shalt thou understand righteousness, and judgment, and equity; yea, every good path. Then you will understand equity and justice as well as righteousness—every good path.
Therefore thou art inexcusable, O man, whosoever thou art that judgest: for wherein thou judgest another, thou condemnest thyself; for thou that judgest doest the same things. Therefore, you have no excuse, whoever you may be, when you pass judgment on others. For in judging others you condemn yourself, since you are doing the same things.
Search me, O God, and know my heart: try me, and know my thoughts: And see if there be any wicked way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting.Examine me, O God, and know my heart; test me and understand my thoughts. See if I follow an evil way, and guide me on the way to eternity.
Righteousness exalteth a nation: but sin is a reproach to any people.Righteousness is a sign of a nation’s greatness, but sin degrades any people.
Blessed are they which are persecuted for righteousness' sake: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.Blessed are those who are persecuted in the cause of justice, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
He hath shewed thee, O man, what is good; and what doth the Lord require of thee, but to do justly, and to love mercy, and to walk humbly with thy God?The Lord has told you, O man, what is good. And what does the Lord require of you? Only this: to do what is right, to show mercy, and to walk humbly with your God.
For the eyes of the Lord are over the righteous, and his ears are open unto their prayers: but the face of the Lord is against them that do evil. For the eyes of the Lord are on the righteous and his ears are attentive to their prayer. However, the face of the Lord is set against those who do evil.
Better is a little with righteousness than great revenues without right. It is better to have little and be righteous than to acquire great riches with injustice.
For Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to every one that believeth. For Christ is the fulfillment of the Law for the justification of all who believe.
Now no chastening for the present seemeth to be joyous, but grievous: nevertheless afterward it yieldeth the peaceable fruit of righteousness unto them which are exercised thereby. At the time that discipline is received, it always seems painful rather than pleasant, but afterward it yields a harvest of peace and uprightness to those who have been trained by it.
Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness?Do not associate with unbelievers. For what basis can there be for a partnership between righteousness and lawlessness? What do light and darkness have in common?
But now the righteousness of God without the law is manifested, being witnessed by the law and the prophets; Even the righteousness of God which is by faith of Jesus Christ unto all and upon all them that believe: for there is no difference. But now the righteousness of God that is attested by the Law and the Prophets has been manifested apart from law: the righteousness of God through faith in Jesus Christ for all who believe. No distinction has been made.
An hypocrite with his mouth destroyeth his neighbour: but through knowledge shall the just be delivered. With his mouth the godless man seeks to ruin his neighbor, but knowledge enables the righteous to be delivered.
For the Lord is our judge, the Lord is our lawgiver, the Lord is our king; he will save us.For the Lord is our judge, the Lord is our lawgiver. The Lord is our king; he is the one who will save us.
He loveth righteousness and judgment: the earth is full of the goodness of the Lord. The Lord loves righteousness and justice; the earth is filled with his kindness.
In thee, O Lord, do I put my trust; let me never be ashamed: deliver me in thy righteousness. In you, O Lord, I have taken refuge; let me never be put to shame; in your righteousness deliver me.

There is a way which seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death. There is a way that seems right to a man, but the end of it leads to death.
