- He grants a treasure of common sense to the honest.
He is a shield to those who walk with integrity. - In the night I search for you;
in the morning I earnestly seek you.
For only when you come to judge the earth
will people learn what is right. - For no one can ever be made right with God by doing what the law commands. The law simply shows us how sinful we are.
- Then Peter replied, “I see very clearly that God shows no favoritism. In every nation he accepts those who fear him and do what is right.”

the words of the wicked conceal violent intentions. - I will teach you wisdom’s ways

They trust in themselves, and their lives are crooked.
But the righteous will live by their faithfulness to God. - For this light within you produces only what is good and right and true.
- The hopes of the godly result in happiness,
but the expectations of the wicked come to nothing. - Do not let any part of your body become an instrument of evil to serve sin. Instead, give yourselves completely to God, for you were dead, but now you have new life. So use your whole body as an instrument to do what is right for the glory of God.
- I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, and I have remained faithful. And now the prize awaits me—the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will give me on the day of his return. And the prize is not just for me but for all who eagerly look forward to his appearing.
- He is the Rock; his deeds are perfect.
Everything he does is just and fair.
He is a faithful God who does no wrong;
how just and upright he is! - We have happy memories of the godly,
but the name of a wicked person rots away. - For God is the one who provides seed for the farmer and then bread to eat. In the same way, he will provide and increase your resources and then produce a great harvest of generosity in you.
- He guards the paths of the just
and protects those who are faithful to him. - Lord, we show our trust in you by obeying your laws;
our heart’s desire is to glorify your name. - If you will listen carefully to the voice of the Lord your God and do what is right in his sight, obeying his commands and keeping all his decrees, then I will not make you suffer any of the diseases I sent on the Egyptians; for I am the Lord who heals you.
- Riches won’t help on the day of judgment,
but right living can save you from death. - I don’t want you to die, says the Sovereign Lord. Turn back and live!
- Look straight ahead,
and fix your eyes on what lies before you.
