- I urge you, brethren, to watch out for those who incite dissensions and obstacles in opposition to the teaching that you have learned. Take care to avoid them.
- Do not swerve either to the right or to the left;
keep your foot far from evil. - And do not lead us into temptation,
but deliver us from the evil one. - Let your love be sincere. Loathe what is evil and hold fast to what is good.
- Deceit is in the heart of those who plot evil,
but those who counsel peace have joy. - However, the Lord is faithful. He will strengthen you and protect you from the evil one.
- For:
“If anyone wishes to love life
and to experience good days,
he must restrain his tongue from evil
and his lips from deceitful speech.
He must turn away from evil and do good,
seek peace and pursue it.” - All you need to do is to say ‘Yes’ if you mean ‘Yes’ and ‘No’ if you mean ‘No.’ Anything beyond this comes from the evil one.
- Because the sentence for committing an evil act is not carried out quickly, people’s hearts are prone to act wickedly.
- I am not asking you
to take them out of the world,
but I do ask you
to protect them from the evil one. - However, to avoid the temptation to immorality, each man should have his own wife and each woman her own husband.

to erase all memory of them from the earth. - While experiencing temptation, no one should say, “God is tempting me.” For God cannot be tempted by evil, and he himself tempts no one.
- The Lord will rescue me from every evil attack and bring me safely into his heavenly kingdom. To him be glory forever and ever. Amen.
- Therefore, put on the armor of God, so that you will be able to hold fast on the evil day and to hold your ground with all your strength.
- Take care, brethren, that none of you will ever have an evil and unbelieving heart that will cause you to forsake the living God.
- Do not pride yourself on your own wisdom;
fear the Lord and turn your back on evil.
This will provide healing for your flesh

- Therefore, take care to live as intelligent people, and do not be like those who are senseless. Make the most of the present time, for this is a wicked age.
- Guide my steps in accord with your word

- As servants of God, behave as free people, but do not use your freedom as a means to cover up wrongdoing.
- Wait quietly for the Lord
and be patient until he comes.
Do not fret over the man who prospers
because of his evil schemes. - Thus says the Lord of hosts: Render fair judgments, and show kindness and compassion to one another. Do not oppress the widow, the orphan, the alien, or the poor. Do not plot evil in your heart against one another.
- Turn away from the mouth that deceives
and keep your distance from lips that mislead. - For we are not struggling against flesh and blood, but against the principalities, the powers, and the cosmic rulers of this present darkness, and against the spirits of evil in the heavens.
- Many shall be purified, cleansed, and refined, but the wicked will persist in their evil ways.
- The love of money is the root of all evils, and in their desire for it some have wandered away from the faith and pierced themselves with many serious wounds.
