| And the rib, which the Lord God had taken from man, made he a woman, and brought her unto the man. And Adam said, This is now bone of my bones, and flesh of my flesh: she shall be called Woman, because she was taken out of Man. | And it shall be, when he shall be guilty in one of these things, that he shall confess that he hath sinned in that thing. | When he realizes his guilt in any of these and confesses the sin he has committed, he shall bring to the Lord as his compensation for the sin that he has committed. |
| Wash you, make you clean; put away the evil of your doings from before mine eyes; cease to do evil. | Wash yourselves; make yourselves clean; remove the evil of your deeds from before my eyes; cease to do evil. |
| He that walketh uprightly walketh surely: but he that perverteth his ways shall be known. | Whoever walks in integrity walks securely, but he who makes his ways crooked will be found out. |
| And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not. | And let us not grow weary of doing good, for in due season we will reap, if we do not give up. |
| Wherefore, my beloved brethren, let every man be swift to hear, slow to speak, slow to wrath. | Know this, my beloved brothers: let every person be quick to hear, slow to speak, slow to anger. |
| And he said to them all, If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow me. | And he said to all, “If anyone would come after me, let him deny himself and take up his cross daily and follow me.” |
| But speaking the truth in love, may grow up into him in all things, which is the head, even Christ. | Rather, speaking the truth in love, we are to grow up in every way into him who is the head, into Christ. |

| Neither yield ye your members as instruments of unrighteousness unto sin: but yield yourselves unto God, as those that are alive from the dead, and your members as instruments of righteousness unto God. | Do not present your members to sin as instruments for unrighteousness, but present yourselves to God as those who have been brought from death to life, and your members to God as instruments for righteousness. |
| For if we have been planted together in the likeness of his death, we shall be also in the likeness of his resurrection: Knowing this, that our old man is crucified with him, that the body of sin might be destroyed, that henceforth we should not serve sin. | For if we have been united with him in a death like his, we shall certainly be united with him in a resurrection like his.
