- For as the body is one, and hath many members, and all the members of that one body, being many, are one body: so also is Christ.
- But whosoever drinketh of the water that I shall give him shall never thirst; but the water that I shall give him shall be in him a well of water springing up into everlasting life.
- As in water face answereth to face,
so the heart of man to man. - Flee fornication. Every sin that a man doeth is without the body; but he that committeth fornication sinneth against his own body.

- I indeed baptize you with water unto repentance. but he that cometh after me is mightier than I, whose shoes I am not worthy to bear: he shall baptize you with the Holy Ghost, and with fire.
- And I knew him not: but he that sent me to baptize with water, the same said unto me, Upon whom thou shalt see the Spirit descending, and remaining on him, the same is he which baptizeth with the Holy Ghost.

- For in many things we offend all. If any man offend not in word, the same is a perfect man, and able also to bridle the whole body.

- These ye shall eat of all that are in the waters: all that have fins and scales shall ye eat: And whatsoever hath not fins and scales ye may not eat; it is unclean unto you.

For he shall be as a tree planted by the waters,
and that spreadeth out her roots by the river,
and shall not see when heat cometh,
but her leaf shall be green;
and shall not be careful in the year of drought,
neither shall cease from yielding fruit. - The words of a talebearer are as wounds,
and they go down into the innermost parts of the belly. - Therefore remove sorrow from thy heart, and put away evil from thy flesh: for childhood and youth are vanity.
- Pleasant words are as an honeycomb,
sweet to the soul, and health to the bones. - When I kept silence, my bones waxed old
through my roaring all the day long. - Be not wise in thine own eyes:
fear the Lord, and depart from evil.
It shall be health to thy navel,
and marrow to thy bones. - But let judgment run down as waters,
and righteousness as a mighty stream. - For I have satiated the weary soul, and I have replenished every sorrowful soul.
- But when they saw him walking upon the sea, they supposed it had been a spirit, and cried out: For they all saw him, and were troubled. And immediately he talked with them, and saith unto them, Be of good cheer: it is I; be not afraid.
- Having therefore these promises, dearly beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from all filthiness of the flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear of God.
