    Have you not heard?
    The Lord is the everlasting God,
    the Creator of the ends of the earth.
    He will not grow tired or weary,
    and his understanding no one can fathom.
  • Those who are in the realm of the flesh cannot please God.

  • One who has unreliable friends soon comes to ruin,
    but there is a friend who sticks closer than a brother.
  • Here is a trustworthy saying:
    If we died with him,
    we will also live with him.
  • So that I may come to you with joy, by God’s will, and in your company be refreshed.
  • Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall trouble or hardship or persecution or famine or nakedness or danger or sword?
  • And I will do whatever you ask in my name, so that the Father may be glorified in the Son.
  • This is the confidence we have in approaching God: that if we ask anything according to his will, he hears us.
  • For with much wisdom comes much sorrow;
    the more knowledge, the more grief.
  • Therefore, since we have these promises, dear friends, let us purify ourselves from everything that contaminates body and spirit, perfecting holiness out of reverence for God.
  • This is how we know that we live in him and he in us: He has given us of his Spirit.
  • Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to mankind by which we must be saved.
  • If it is possible, as far as it depends on you, live at peace with everyone.
  • Houses and wealth are inherited from parents,
    but a prudent wife is from the Lord.

Dear friends, if our hearts do not condemn us, we have confidence before God and receive from him anything we ask, because we keep his commands and do what pleases him.
