| The lips of a fool cause strife, and his mouth provokes a flogging. | A fool's lips enter into contention, and his mouth calleth for strokes. |
| At dawn let me experience your kindness, for in you I place my trust. Show me the path I must walk, for to you I lift up my soul. | Cause me to hear thy lovingkindness in the morning; for in thee do I trust: cause me to know the way wherein I should walk; for I lift up my soul unto thee. |

| I urge you, brethren, to watch out for those who incite dissensions and obstacles in opposition to the teaching that you have learned. Take care to avoid them. | Now I beseech you, brethren, mark them which cause divisions and offences contrary to the doctrine which ye have learned; and avoid them. |
| Restore us, O Lord of hosts; let your face shine upon us, and we will be saved. | Turn us again, O Lord God of hosts, cause thy face to shine; and we shall be saved. |
| Speak out for those who cannot speak for themselves, and defend the rights of the destitute. | Open thy mouth for the dumb in the cause of all such as are appointed to destruction. |

For I am merciful, says the Lord; my wrath will not continue forever. | Return, thou backsliding Israel, saith the Lord; and I will not cause mine anger to fall upon you: for I am merciful, saith the Lord, and I will not keep anger for ever. |
| They will never again experience hunger or thirst, nor will the sun or any scorching heat cause them discomfort. For the Lamb who is at the center of the throne will be their shepherd. He will guide them to springs of living water, and God will wipe away every tear from their eyes. | They shall hunger no more, neither thirst any more; neither shall the sun light on them, nor any heat. For the Lamb which is in the midst of the throne shall feed them, and shall lead them unto living fountains of waters: and God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes. |
| Grant justice to the weak and the orphan; defend the rights of the lowly and the poor. | Defend the poor and fatherless: do justice to the afflicted and needy. |
| But for that very reason I was treated mercifully, so that in me Jesus Christ might exhibit his inexhaustible patience, making me an example for those who would come to believe in him for eternal life. | Howbeit for this cause I obtained mercy, that in me first Jesus Christ might shew forth all longsuffering, for a pattern to them which should hereafter believe on him to life everlasting. |
| The future bodes well for him who is generous in helping those in need and who conducts his affairs with justice. | A good man sheweth favour, and lendeth: he will guide his affairs with discretion. |

| That is why you also pay taxes, for the authorities are God’s servants, and they devote themselves to this service. | For for this cause pay ye tribute also: for they are God's ministers, attending continually upon this very thing. |
| Therefore, we do not lose heart. Even though our outer self is continuing to decay, our inner self is being renewed day by day. | For which cause we faint not; but though our outward man perish, yet the inward man is renewed day by day. |
