Bible Verses about 'Decorate a tree'
- Hope deferred sickens the heart,
but a desire fulfilled is a tree of life. - A wholesome tongue is a tree of life,
but an undisciplined tongue crushes the spirit. - The vine has withered;
the fig tree droops.
The pomegranate, the palm, and the apple tree—
all the trees of the field have dried up.
And the joy of the people
has also withered away. - And God said, “Behold, I give you every plant that produces seeds upon the earth and every tree that has fruit with its seed inside of it: these shall be your food.”
- Blessed are those who trust in the Lord
and whose hope is the Lord.
They will be like a tree planted by the water
that spreads out its roots to the stream.
When the heat comes, it does not fear;
its leaves stay green.
It is not concerned in a year of drought,
and it never fails to bear fruit. - Jesus answered them, “Amen, I say to you, if you have faith and do not doubt, not only will you do what has been done to this fig tree, but even if you say to this mountain, ‘Be lifted up and thrown into the sea,’ it will be accomplished.”
- For the carved images of the nations are powerless;
they are nothing more than wood cut from a forest,
fashioned with a knife by craftsmen
and embellished with silver and gold.
Then they are fastened with hammers and nails
to prevent them from toppling.
Like scarecrows in a cucumber field
they are unable to speak,
and they must be carried from place to place
since they cannot walk.
Do not be afraid of them,
for they can do no harm,
nor do they have any power to do good. - The Lord God said, “Behold, man has become like one of us, for he has knowledge of that which is good and that which is evil. Now, we must prevent him from reaching out and taking the fruit of the tree of life lest he eat it and live forever.” The Lord God cast him out of the Garden of Eden; henceforth he was to labor tilling the soil from which he had come.
- Even though the fig tree does not blossom
and there is no fruit on the vines,
even though the olive crop will fail
and the orchards will yield no food,
even though the flock is cut off from the fold
and there is no herd in the stalls,
I will continue to rejoice in the Lord,
and exult in the God of my salvation. - He himself bore our sins in his body on the cross, so that we might die to sin and live in righteousness. By his wounds you have been healed.
- A wise son brings joy to his father,
but a foolish son gives grief to his mother. - Your word is a lamp for my feet
and a light to my path. - He must increase;
I must decrease. - No one after lighting a lamp covers it with a pot or places it under a bed. Rather he places it on a lampstand so that those who enter may see the light.
- A man’s attraction is his kindness;
it is far better to be poor than to be a liar. - A cheerful heart is excellent medicine,
but a crushed spirit dries up the bones. - Deliver me, O Lord, from lying lips
and from deceitful tongues. - Create in me a clean heart, O God,
and renew a resolute spirit within me. - I have made a covenant with my eyes
not to look with desire upon a virgin. - The Lord is a refuge for the oppressed,
a refuge in times of distress. - A gentle reply turns away wrath,

and a tale-bearer destroys close friendships. - Some friends can lead us to ruin,
but a true friend is closer than a brother. - Fine words are not becoming to a fool,
and much less are false words to a noble. - My sacrifice, O God, is a broken spirit;
a contrite and humble heart, O God,
you will not spurn. - The lips of a fool cause strife,
and his mouth provokes a flogging. - A man is joyful when he utters apt answers,
and even more satisfying is a word in season. - For everything there is a season,
and a time for every activity under heaven. - Do not be deceived; God cannot be mocked. A person will reap only what he sows.
- For to you a thousand years
are like a yesterday that has passed
or one of the watches of the night. - There is a way that seems right to a man,
but the end of it leads to death. - One who gossips reveals secrets,
but a trustworthy man keeps things hidden. - I will give you a new heart and place a new spirit within you. I will remove from your body a heart of stone and give you a heart of flesh in its place.

and receives favor from the Lord. - Charm is deceptive and beauty is fleeting,

a poor man never has to worry about such threats. - A fool gives free rein to his anger,
but a wise man bides his time and calms it. - A fool is quick to show his anger,
but a prudent man ignores an insult. - It is rash to pledge a sacred gift,
or to make a vow and then have second thoughts. - But you are “a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people claimed by God as his own possession,” so that you may proclaim the praise of him who called you out of darkness into his marvelous light.
- But do not ignore this one fact, beloved: with the Lord one day is like a thousand years, and a thousand years are like one day.
- Anxiety in the human heart weighs it down,
but a kind word makes it glad. - Turn away from the mouth that deceives
and keep your distance from lips that mislead. - It is better to spend one day in your courts
than a thousand elsewhere.
I would rather be a doorkeeper in God’s house
than dwell inside the tents of the wicked. - The words of a wise man win favor,
but a fool’s tongue is his undoing.
