- Trust in the Lord and do good;
dwell in the land and enjoy safe pasture. - Surely your goodness and love will follow me
all the days of my life,
and I will dwell in the house of the Lord
forever. - In peace I will lie down and sleep,
for you alone, Lord,
make me dwell in safety. - Better is one day in your courts
than a thousand elsewhere;
I would rather be a doorkeeper in the house of my God

- One thing I ask from the Lord,

that I may dwell in the house of the Lord

to gaze on the beauty of the Lord
and to seek him in his temple. - The earth is the Lord’s, and everything in it,
the world, and all who live in it. - I pray that out of his glorious riches he may strengthen you with power through his Spirit in your inner being, so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith. And I pray that you, being rooted and established in love.
- How good and pleasant it is
when God’s people live together in unity! - God sets the lonely in families,
he leads out the prisoners with singing;
but the rebellious live in a sun-scorched land. - And I heard a loud voice from the throne saying, “Look! God’s dwelling place is now among the people, and he will dwell with them. They will be his people, and God himself will be with them and be their God. ‘He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death’ or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away.”
- For this is what the high and exalted One says—
he who lives forever, whose name is holy:
“I live in a high and holy place,
but also with the one who is contrite and lowly in spirit,
to revive the spirit of the lowly
and to revive the heart of the contrite.” - Hear my prayer, Lord,
listen to my cry for help;
do not be deaf to my weeping.
I dwell with you as a foreigner,
a stranger, as all my ancestors were. - But if serving the Lord seems undesirable to you, then choose for yourselves this day whom you will serve, whether the gods your ancestors served beyond the Euphrates, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land you are living. But as for me and my household, we will serve the Lord.
- If you really change your ways and your actions and deal with each other justly, if you do not oppress the foreigner, the fatherless or the widow and do not shed innocent blood in this place, and if you do not follow other gods to your own harm, then I will let you live in this place, in the land I gave your ancestors for ever and ever.
- Whoever eats my flesh and drinks my blood remains in me, and I in them.
- This is how we know that we live in him and he in us: He has given us of his Spirit.
- Husbands, in the same way be considerate as you live with your wives, and treat them with respect as the weaker partner and as heirs with you of the gracious gift of life, so that nothing will hinder your prayers.
- But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me.
- Walk in obedience to all that the Lord your God has commanded you, so that you may live and prosper and prolong your days in the land that you will possess.
- And if the Spirit of him who raised Jesus from the dead is living in you, he who raised Christ from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies because of his Spirit who lives in you.
Better a patient person than a warrior,
one with self-control than one who takes a city.
