Giving to the needy (2/4)

The eyes of the Lord are on the righteous, And His ears are open to their cry.The eyes of the Lord watch over those who do right; his ears are open to their cries for help.
The rich rules over the poor, And the borrower is servant to the lender.Just as the rich rule the poor, so the borrower is servant to the lender.
To do righteousness and justice Is more acceptable to the Lord than sacrifice.The Lord is more pleased when we do what is right and just than when we offer him sacrifices.
But when you do a charitable deed, do not let your left hand know what your right hand is doing, that your charitable deed may be in secret; and your Father who sees in secret will Himself reward you openly.But when you give to someone in need, don’t let your left hand know what your right hand is doing. Give your gifts in private, and your Father, who sees everything, will reward you.
Sing to the Lord, For He has done excellent things; This is known in all the earth.Sing to the Lord, for he has done wonderful things. Make known his praise around the world.
So Jesus said to them again, “Peace to you! As the Father has sent Me, I also send you.”Again he said, “Peace be with you. As the Father has sent me, so I am sending you.”
The statutes of the Lord are right, rejoicing the heart; The commandment of the Lord is pure, enlightening the eyes.The commandments of the Lord are right, bringing joy to the heart. The commands of the Lord are clear, giving insight for living.
But he who does the truth comes to the light, that his deeds may be clearly seen, that they have been done in God.But those who do what is right come to the light so others can see that they are doing what God wants.
Then the angel said to them, “Do not be afraid, for behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy which will be to all people.”But the angel reassured them. “Don’t be afraid!” he said. “I bring you good news that will bring great joy to all people.”
Now to the King eternal, immortal, invisible, to God who alone is wise, be honor and glory forever and ever. Amen.All honor and glory to God forever and ever! He is the eternal King, the unseen one who never dies; he alone is God. Amen.
I will lift up my eyes to the hills— From whence comes my help? My help comes from the Lord, Who made heaven and earth.I look up to the mountains— does my help come from there? My help comes from the Lord, who made heaven and earth!
You shall not add to the word which I command you, nor take from it, that you may keep the commandments of the Lord your God which I command you.Do not add to or subtract from these commands I am giving you. Just obey the commands of the Lord your God that I am giving you.
Salvation belongs to the Lord. Your blessing is upon Your people. SelahVictory comes from you, O Lord. May you bless your people.
For so the Lord has commanded us: ‘I have set you as a light to the Gentiles, That you should be for salvation to the ends of the earth.’For the Lord gave us this command when he said, ‘I have made you a light to the Gentiles, to bring salvation to the farthest corners of the earth.’
For Your mercy reaches unto the heavens, And Your truth unto the clouds.For your unfailing love is as high as the heavens. Your faithfulness reaches to the clouds.
So then, after the Lord had spoken to them, He was received up into heaven, and sat down at the right hand of God.When the Lord Jesus had finished talking with them, he was taken up into heaven and sat down in the place of honor at God’s right hand.
The Lord will command His lovingkindness in the daytime, And in the night His song shall be with me— A prayer to the God of my life.But each day the Lord pours his unfailing love upon me, and through each night I sing his songs, praying to God who gives me life.

For we have become partakers of Christ if we hold the beginning of our confidence steadfast to the end.For if we are faithful to the end, trusting God just as firmly as when we first believed, we will share in all that belongs to Christ.
Lying lips are an abomination to the Lord, But those who deal truthfully are His delight.The Lord detests lying lips, but he delights in those who tell the truth.
And heal the sick there, and say to them, ‘The kingdom of God has come near to you.’Heal the sick, and tell them, ‘The Kingdom of God is near you now.’
For the eyes of the Lord are on the righteous, And His ears are open to their prayers; But the face of the Lord is against those who do evil.The eyes of the Lord watch over those who do right, and his ears are open to their prayers. But the Lord turns his face against those who do evil.
For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war according to the flesh.We are human, but we don’t wage war as humans do.
The way of the Lord is strength for the upright, But destruction will come to the workers of iniquity.The way of the Lord is a stronghold to those with integrity, but it destroys the wicked.

Jesus said to him, “If you want to be perfect, go, sell what you have and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven; and come, follow Me.”Jesus told him, “If you want to be perfect, go and sell all your possessions and give the money to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven. Then come, follow me.”
