- Let every one of us please his neighbour for his good to edification.
- Two are better than one; because they have a good reward for their labour.
- Riches profit not in the day of wrath:
but righteousness delivereth from death. - Withhold not good from them to whom it is due,
when it is in the power of thine hand to do it. - The eyes of the Lord are upon the righteous,
and his ears are open unto their cry. - For thou, Lord, art good, and ready to forgive;
and plenteous in mercy unto all them that call upon thee. - Out of the depths have I cried unto thee, O Lord.
Lord, hear my voice:
let thine ears be attentive
to the voice of my supplications. - Therefore I will look unto the Lord;
I will wait for the God of my salvation:
my God will hear me. - Learn to do well; seek judgment,
relieve the oppressed,
judge the fatherless,
plead for the widow. - Remove far from me vanity and lies:
give me neither poverty nor riches;
feed me with food convenient for me. - Ye shall not afflict any widow, or fatherless child. If thou afflict them in any wise, and they cry at all unto me, I will surely hear their cry; And my wrath shall wax hot, and I will kill you with the sword; and your wives shall be widows, and your children fatherless.
- When goods increase, they are increased that eat them: and what good is there to the owners thereof, saving the beholding of them with their eyes?
- Now the God of patience and consolation grant you to be likeminded one toward another according to Christ Jesus.
- We are bound to thank God always for you, brethren, as it is meet, because that your faith groweth exceedingly, and the charity of every one of you all toward each other aboundeth.
- And therefore will the Lord wait,
that he may be gracious unto you,
and therefore will he be exalted,
that he may have mercy upon you:
for the Lord is a God of judgment:
blessed are all they that wait for him. - Who art thou that judgest another man's servant? to his own master he standeth or falleth. Yea, he shall be holden up: for God is able to make him stand.
- Commit thy way unto the Lord;
trust also in him; and he shall bring it to pass.
And he shall bring forth thy righteousness as the light,
and thy judgment as the noonday. - I am sought of them that asked not for me;
I am found of them that sought me not:
I said, Behold me, behold me,
unto a nation that was not called by my name. - And not only so, but we glory in tribulations also: knowing that tribulation worketh patience; And patience, experience; and experience, hope.
- For I long to see you, that I may impart unto you some spiritual gift, to the end ye may be established; That is, that I may be comforted together with you by the mutual faith both of you and me.
- Brethren, if a man be overtaken in a fault, ye which are spiritual, restore such an one in the spirit of meekness; considering thyself, lest thou also be tempted.
Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved. And God is able to make all grace abound toward you; that ye, always having all sufficiency in all things, may abound to every good work.Next verse!With image
