- Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.

And recovery of sight to the blind,
To set free those who are oppressed. - Vindicate the weak and fatherless;
Do justice to the afflicted and destitute. - This is what the Lord of armies has said: ‘Dispense true justice and practice kindness and compassion each to his brother; and do not oppress the widow or the orphan, the stranger or the poor; and do not devise evil in your hearts against one another.’
- This wretched man cried out, and the Lord heard him,
And saved him out of all his troubles. - So when you give to the poor, do not sound a trumpet before you, as the hypocrites do in the synagogues and on the streets, so that they will be praised by people. Truly I say to you, they have their reward in full.
- But when you give to the poor, do not let your left hand know what your right hand is doing, so that your charitable giving will be in secret; and your Father who sees what is done in secret will reward you.
- And if I give away all my possessions to charity, and if I surrender my body so that I may glory, but do not have love, it does me no good.
- The Spirit of the Lord God is upon me,
Because the Lord anointed me
To bring good news to the humble;
He has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted,
To proclaim release to captives
And freedom to prisoners. - It goes well for a person who is gracious and lends;
He will maintain his cause in judgment. - And he would answer and say to them, “The one who has two tunics is to share with the one who has none; and the one who has food is to do likewise.”
- Our help is in the name of the Lord,
Who made heaven and earth. - I will raise my eyes to the mountains;
From where will my help come?
My help comes from the Lord,
Who made heaven and earth. - The eyes of the Lord are toward the righteous,
And His ears are toward their cry for help. - Now the brother or sister of humble circumstances is to glory in his high position; but the rich person is to glory in his humiliation, because like flowering grass he will pass away.
- God is our refuge and strength,
A very ready help in trouble. - In my distress I called upon the Lord,
And cried to my God for help;
He heard my voice from His temple,
And my cry for help before Him came into His ears. - Behold, God is my helper;
The Lord is the sustainer of my soul. - For while we were still helpless, at the right time Christ died for the ungodly.
- For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh and the lust of the eyes and the boastful pride of life, is not from the Father, but is from the world.

But He thwarts the way of the wicked. - Help us, God of our salvation, for the glory of Your name;
And save us and forgive our sins for the sake of Your name. - For I am the Lord your God who takes hold of your right hand,
Who says to you, ‘Do not fear, I will help you.’ - The mentioning of the righteous is a blessing,
But the name of the wicked will rot. - The hope of the righteous is gladness,
But the expectation of the wicked perishes. - In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. And the earth was a formless and desolate emptiness, and darkness was over the surface of the deep, and the Spirit of God was hovering over the surface of the waters.
- Whoever denies the Son does not have the Father; the one who confesses the Son has the Father also.
- And take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.
- Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom.
- When the Helper comes, whom I will send to you from the Father, namely, the Spirit of truth who comes from the Father, He will testify about Me.
- He is also the head of the body, the church; and He is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead, so that He Himself will come to have first place in everything.
- By the word of the Lord the heavens were made,
And by the breath of His mouth all their lights. - Wives, subject yourselves to your own husbands, as to the Lord. For the husband is the head of the wife, as Christ also is the head of the church, He Himself being the Savior of the body.
- The tongue of the righteous is like choice silver,
The heart of the wicked is worth little. - Blessings are on the head of the righteous,
But the mouth of the wicked conceals violence. - The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit, be with you all.
