  • And when he had called the people unto him with his disciples also, he said unto them, Whosoever will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me.
  • Unto you first God, having raised up his Son Jesus, sent him to bless you, in turning away every one of you from his iniquities.
  • Ye shall diligently keep the commandments of the Lord your God, and his testimonies, and his statutes, which he hath commanded thee.
  • For what is a man profited, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul? or what shall a man give in exchange for his soul?
  • A good man out of the good treasure of his heart bringeth forth that which is good; and an evil man out of the evil treasure of his heart bringeth forth that which is evil: for of the abundance of the heart his mouth speaketh.
  • Unto Adam also and to his wife did the Lord God make coats of skins, and clothed them.
  • Who will render to every man according to his deeds.
  • Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord;
    and the people whom he hath chosen for his own inheritance.
  • Praise ye the Lord. Blessed is the man that feareth the Lord,
    that delighteth greatly in his commandments.
  • The eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that ye may know what is the hope of his calling, and what the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints.
  • And in hell he lift up his eyes, being in torments, and seeth Abraham afar off, and Lazarus in his bosom. And he cried and said, Father Abraham, have mercy on me, and send Lazarus, that he may dip the tip of his finger in water, and cool my tongue; for I am tormented in this flame.
  • According as his divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that hath called us to glory and virtue.
  • A fool uttereth all his mind:
    but a wise man keepeth it in till afterwards.
  • But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus.
  • Know ye not, that so many of us as were baptized into Jesus Christ were baptized into his death?
  • And the Lord turned the captivity of Job, when he prayed for his friends: also the Lord gave Job twice as much as he had before.
  • Even a fool, when he holdeth his peace, is counted wise:
    and he that shutteth his lips is esteemed a man of understanding.
  • A fool's lips enter into contention,
    and his mouth calleth for strokes.
  • That he would grant you, according to the riches of his glory, to be strengthened with might by his Spirit in the inner man; That Christ may dwell in your hearts by faith; that ye, being rooted and grounded in love.
  • God is faithful, by whom ye were called unto the fellowship of his Son Jesus Christ our Lord.
  • For the word of the Lord is right;
    and all his works are done in truth.
  • But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.
  • By the word of the Lord were the heavens made;
    and all the host of them by the breath of his mouth.
  • Jesus answered them, and said, My doctrine is not mine, but his that sent me.
  • For even the Son of man came not to be ministered unto, but to minister, and to give his life a ransom for many.
