- I believe that I shall look upon the goodness of the Lord
in the land of the living! - I have made a covenant with my eyes;
how then could I gaze at a virgin? - Whom have I in heaven but you?
And there is nothing on earth that I desire besides you. - He must increase, but I must decrease.
- Heal me, O Lord, and I shall be healed;
save me, and I shall be saved,
for you are my praise. - I have set the Lord always before me;
because he is at my right hand, I shall not be shaken. - I say to the Lord, “You are my Lord;
I have no good apart from you.” - I will give thanks to the Lord with my whole heart;
I will recount all of your wonderful deeds. - Let me hear in the morning of your steadfast love,
for in you I trust.
Make me know the way I should go,
for to you I lift up my soul. - I have taught you the way of wisdom;
I have led you in the paths of uprightness. - Peace I leave with you; my peace I give to you. Not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your hearts be troubled, neither let them be afraid.
- I will give thanks to you, O Lord, among the peoples;
I will sing praises to you among the nations. - For I will satisfy the weary soul, and every languishing soul I will replenish.
- Jesus then said, “I will be with you a little longer, and then I am going to him who sent me.”
- For the sake of Christ, then, I am content with weaknesses, insults, hardships, persecutions, and calamities. For when I am weak, then I am strong.
- For I will be merciful toward their iniquities,
and I will remember their sins no more. - But as for me, I will look to the Lord;
I will wait for the God of my salvation;
my God will hear me. - Return, faithless Israel,
declares the Lord.
I will not look on you in anger,
for I am merciful,
declares the Lord;
I will not be angry forever. - Preserve me, O God, for in you I take refuge.
- Because your steadfast love is better than life,
my lips will praise you.
So I will bless you as long as I live;
in your name I will lift up my hands. - Do not think that I have come to bring peace to the earth. I have not come to bring peace, but a sword.
- I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go;
I will counsel you with my eye upon you. - I love the Lord, because he has heard
my voice and my pleas for mercy.
Because he inclined his ear to me,
therefore I will call on him as long as I live. - I will extol you, my God and King,
and bless your name forever and ever. - I have been crucified with Christ. It is no longer I who live, but Christ who lives in me. And the life I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.
Truly, truly, I say to you, whoever believes in me will also do the works that I do; and greater works than these will he do, because I am going to the Father.For to me to live is Christ, and to die is gain. But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control; against such things there is no law.Next verse!With image
