- But grow in grace, and in the knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. To him be glory both now and for ever. Amen.
- A man's pride shall bring him low:
but honour shall uphold the humble in spirit. - But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.
- Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace,
whose mind is stayed on thee:
because he trusteth in thee. - Sing unto God, sing praises to his name:
extol him that rideth upon the heavens
by his name Jah, and rejoice before him.
A father of the fatherless, and a judge of the widows,
is God in his holy habitation. - And Jesus said unto him, Go thy way; thy faith hath made thee whole. And immediately he received his sight, and followed Jesus in the way.
- He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.
- So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them.
- God shall bless us;
and all the ends of the earth shall fear him. - But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name.
- Blessed are they that keep his testimonies,
and that seek him with the whole heart. - Only fear the Lord, and serve him in truth with all your heart: for consider how great things he hath done for you.
- No man hath seen God at any time, the only begotten Son, which is in the bosom of the Father, he hath declared him.
- Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me.
- Beloved, if our heart condemn us not, then have we confidence toward God. And whatsoever we ask, we receive of him, because we keep his commandments, and do those things that are pleasing in his sight.
- For if we have been planted together in the likeness of his death, we shall be also in the likeness of his resurrection: Knowing this, that our old man is crucified with him, that the body of sin might be destroyed, that henceforth we should not serve sin.
- Touching the Almighty, we cannot find him out:
he is excellent in power, and in judgment,
and in plenty of justice: he will not afflict. - Trust in the Lord with all thine heart;
and lean not unto thine own understanding.
In all thy ways acknowledge him,
and he shall direct thy paths. - In this was manifested the love of God toward us, because that God sent his only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through him.
- But take diligent heed to do the commandment and the law, which Moses the servant of the Lord charged you, to love the Lord your God, and to walk in all his ways, and to keep his commandments, and to cleave unto him, and to serve him with all your heart and with all your soul.
- Unto you first God, having raised up his Son Jesus, sent him to bless you, in turning away every one of you from his iniquities.
- That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.
- And being made perfect, he became the author of eternal salvation unto all them that obey him.
- In my distress I called upon the Lord,
and cried unto my God:
he heard my voice out of his temple,
and my cry came before him, even into his ears. - Why art thou cast down, O my soul?
and why art thou disquieted within me?
hope thou in God:
for I shall yet praise him,
who is the health of my countenance, and my God.
He that keepeth his mouth keepeth his life:
but he that openeth wide his lips shall have destruction. Finally, be ye all of one mind, having compassion one of another, love as brethren, be pitiful, be courteous.Next verse! With image
