| Jesus, full of the Holy Spirit, left the Jordan and was led by the Spirit into the wilderness, where for forty days he was tempted by the devil. | The Spirit of the Lord is on me, because he has anointed me to proclaim good news to the poor. | However, do not rejoice that the spirits submit to you, but rejoice that your names are written in heaven. | Nevertheless do not rejoice in this, that the spirits are subject to you, but rather rejoice because your names are written in heaven. |

| What you have said in the dark will be heard in the daylight, and what you have whispered in the ear in the inner rooms will be proclaimed from the roofs. | Therefore whatever you have spoken in the dark will be heard in the light, and what you have spoken in the ear in inner rooms will be proclaimed on the housetops. |
