A perverse man sows strife, and a tale-bearer destroys close friendships.A perverse person spreads strife, and a whisperer separates close friends.
How can a young man lead a spotless life? By living according to your word.How can young people keep their way pure? By guarding it according to your word.
What does it profit a man to gain the whole world and forfeit his very life?For what will it profit them to gain the whole world and forfeit their life?
A fool gives free rein to his anger, but a wise man bides his time and calms it.A fool gives full vent to anger, but the wise quietly holds it back.
A good man produces good from the store of goodness in his heart, whereas an evil man produces evil from the store of evil within him. For the mouth speaks from the abundance of the heart.The good person out of the good treasure of the heart produces good, and the evil person out of evil treasure produces evil; for it is out of the abundance of the heart that the mouth speaks.
There is a way that seems right to a man, but the end of it leads to death.There is a way that seems right to a person, but its end is the way to death.
Taste and see that the Lord is good; blessed is the man who takes refuge in him.O taste and see that the Lord is good; happy are those who take refuge in him.

A man is joyful when he utters apt answers, and even more satisfying is a word in season.To make an apt answer is a joy to anyone, and a word in season, how good it is!

The wicked man borrows but neglects to repay, whereas the righteous man is generous in giving.The wicked borrow, and do not pay back, but the righteous are generous and keep giving.

A man may plan his own course, but the Lord makes his steps secure.The human mind plans the way, but the Lord directs the steps.
Blessed is the person who has found wisdom, the one who has gained understanding.Happy are those who find wisdom, and those who get understanding.
In my anguish I cried out; the Lord heard my plea, and I was saved from all my troubles.This poor soul cried, and was heard by the Lord, and was saved from every trouble.

He replied, “Have you not read that from the beginning the Creator ‘made them male and female’ and said: ‘That is why a man leaves his father and mother and is joined to his wife, and the two become one flesh’? And so they are no longer two but one flesh. Therefore, what God has joined together, let no one separate.”He answered, “Have you not read that the one who made them at the beginning ‘made them male and female,’ and said, ‘For this reason a man shall leave his father and mother and be joined to his wife, and the two shall become one flesh’?
