and the Word was with God,
and the Word was God. - For nothing will be impossible for God.

proclaim that his name is exalted. - All I want is to come to know Christ and the power of his resurrection and to share in his sufferings by becoming conformed to his death.

you will not spurn. - If anyone destroys God’s temple, God will destroy that person. For the temple of God is holy, and you are that temple.

but if we love one another,
God abides in us,
and his love is made complete in us. - But you are “a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people claimed by God as his own possession,” so that you may proclaim the praise of him who called you out of darkness into his marvelous light.

Its flames are flashes of fire,
an unending blaze. - Those who live according to the flesh can never be pleasing to God.
- While experiencing temptation, no one should say, “God is tempting me.” For God cannot be tempted by evil, and he himself tempts no one.
- However, God has revealed these things to us through the Spirit. For the Spirit explores everything, even the depths of God.
- Hence, be imitators of God, as beloved children.
- Surely God is my helper;
the Lord is the one who sustains me.
