- Riches profit not in the day of wrath:

than great revenues without right. - And the Lord turned the captivity of Job, when he prayed for his friends: also the Lord gave Job twice as much as he had before.
- A good man sheweth favour, and lendeth:
he will guide his affairs with discretion. - The rich ruleth over the poor,
and the borrower is servant to the lender. - The wicked borroweth, and payeth not again:
but the righteous sheweth mercy, and giveth. - When goods increase, they are increased that eat them: and what good is there to the owners thereof, saving the beholding of them with their eyes?
- He also that received seed among the thorns is he that heareth the word; and the care of this world, and the deceitfulness of riches, choke the word, and he becometh unfruitful.
- Let the brother of low degree rejoice in that he is exalted: But the rich, in that he is made low: because as the flower of the grass he shall pass away.
- Ye shall not make with me gods of silver, neither shall ye make unto you gods of gold.
- The ransom of a man's life are his riches:
but the poor heareth not rebuke.
