Bible Verses about 'My pleasure'
- “For I have no pleasure in the death of one who dies,” says the Lord God. “Therefore turn and live!”
- For the Lord takes pleasure in His people;
He will beautify the humble with salvation. - When you make a vow to God, do not delay to pay it;
For He has no pleasure in fools.
Pay what you have vowed. - Do not fear, little flock, for it is your Father’s good pleasure to give you the kingdom.
- “Do I have any pleasure at all that the wicked should die?” says the Lord God, “and not that he should turn from his ways and live?”
- Remember now your Creator in the days of your youth,
Before the difficult days come,
And the years draw near when you say,
“I have no pleasure in them” - If you turn away your foot from the Sabbath,
From doing your pleasure on My holy day,
And call the Sabbath a delight,
The holy day of the Lord honorable,
And shall honor Him, not doing your own ways,
Nor finding your own pleasure,
Nor speaking your own words,
Then you shall delight yourself in the Lord;
And I will cause you to ride on the high hills of the earth,
And feed you with the heritage of Jacob your father.
The mouth of the Lord has spoken. - A fool has no delight in understanding,
But in expressing his own heart. - Therefore I take pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches, in needs, in persecutions, in distresses, for Christ’s sake. For when I am weak, then I am strong.
- The father of the righteous will greatly rejoice,
And he who begets a wise child will delight in him. - I know that nothing is better for them than to rejoice, and to do good in their lives, and also that every man should eat and drink and enjoy the good of all his labor—it is the gift of God.
- I will love You, O Lord, my strength.
The Lord is my rock and my fortress and my deliverer;
My God, my strength, in whom I will trust;
My shield and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold. - In God is my salvation and my glory;
The rock of my strength,
And my refuge, is in God. - My flesh and my heart fail;
But God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever. - For You will light my lamp;
The Lord my God will enlighten my darkness. - He only is my rock and my salvation;
He is my defense;
I shall not be moved. - He only is my rock and my salvation;
He is my defense;
I shall not be greatly moved. - Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart
Be acceptable in Your sight,
O Lord, my strength and my Redeemer. - The Lord is my strength and my shield;
My heart trusted in Him, and I am helped;
Therefore my heart greatly rejoices,
And with my song I will praise Him. - You are my hiding place and my shield;
I hope in Your word. - Your word is a lamp to my feet
And a light to my path. - For all that is in the world—the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life—is not of the Father but is of the world.
- Turn at my rebuke;
Surely I will pour out my spirit on you;
I will make my words known to you. - I delight to do Your will, O my God,
And Your law is within my heart. - Hear my prayer, O Lord,
And give ear to my cry;
Do not be silent at my tears;
For I am a stranger with You,
A sojourner, as all my fathers were. - In my distress I called upon the Lord,
And cried out to my God;
He heard my voice from His temple,
And my cry came before Him, even to His ears. - My son, if your heart is wise,
My heart will rejoice—indeed, I myself. - Truly my soul silently waits for God;
From Him comes my salvation. - My soul, wait silently for God alone,
For my expectation is from Him. - I will put My Spirit within you and cause you to walk in My statutes, and you will keep My judgments and do them.
- He who eats My flesh and drinks My blood abides in Me, and I in him.
- When I kept silent, my bones grew old
Through my groaning all the day long. - You shall keep My Sabbaths and reverence My sanctuary:
I am the Lord. - Lord, all my desire is before You;
And my sighing is not hidden from You. - I cried to Him with my mouth,
And He was extolled with my tongue. - The Lord is my light and my salvation;
Whom shall I fear?
The Lord is the strength of my life;
Of whom shall I be afraid? - I acknowledged my sin to You,
And my iniquity I have not hidden.
I said, “I will confess my transgressions to the Lord,”
And You forgave the iniquity of my sin. Selah - If you keep My commandments, you will abide in My love, just as I have kept My Father’s commandments and abide in His love.
- Behold, God is my helper;
The Lord is with those who uphold my life. - “The Lord is my portion,” says my soul,
“Therefore I hope in Him!” - But You, O Lord, are a shield for me,
My glory and the One who lifts up my head. - “For My thoughts are not your thoughts,
Nor are your ways My ways,” says the Lord. - By this My Father is glorified, that you bear much fruit; so you will be My disciples.
- In the multitude of my anxieties within me,
Your comforts delight my soul. - I will lift up my eyes to the hills—
From whence comes my help?
My help comes from the Lord,
Who made heaven and earth. - For You are my rock and my fortress;
Therefore, for Your name’s sake,
Lead me and guide me. - If you love Me, keep My commandments.
- Hear, my son, and receive my sayings,
And the years of your life will be many. - I spread out my hands to You;
My soul longs for You like a thirsty land. Selah - O my soul, you have said to the Lord,
“You are my Lord,
My goodness is nothing apart from You.”
