and a light unto my path. - For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world.

thy comforts delight my soul. - If ye love me, keep my commandments.

therefore for thy name's sake lead me, and guide me. - Hear, O my son, and receive my sayings;
and the years of thy life shall be many. - O my soul, thou hast said unto the Lord, Thou art my Lord:
my goodness extendeth not to thee. - Behold, God is mine helper:
the Lord is with them that uphold my soul. - I stretch forth my hands unto thee:
my soul thirsteth after thee, as a thirsty land. Selah. - Why art thou cast down, O my soul?
and why art thou disquieted within me?
hope thou in God:
for I shall yet praise him,
who is the health of my countenance, and my God. - But thou, O Lord, art a shield for me;
my glory, and the lifter up of mine head.
