- O Lord, in the morning you hear my voice;
in the morning I plead my case to you, and watch. - Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me; for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.
- Now therefore, if you obey my voice and keep my covenant, you shall be my treasured possession out of all the peoples. Indeed, the whole earth is mine.
- When I am afraid,
I put my trust in you. - Then Jesus answered them, “My teaching is not mine but his who sent me.”
- For as the heavens are higher than the earth,
so are my ways higher than your ways
and my thoughts than your thoughts. - Out of the depths I cry to you, O Lord.
Lord, hear my voice!
Let your ears be attentive
to the voice of my supplications! - Have mercy on me, O God,
according to your steadfast love;
according to your abundant mercy
blot out my transgressions.
Wash me thoroughly from my iniquity,
and cleanse me from my sin. - Bless the Lord, O my soul,
and all that is within me,
bless his holy name. - I wait for the Lord, my soul waits,
and in his word I hope. - I will make your offspring as numerous as the stars of heaven, and will give to your offspring all these lands; and all the nations of the earth shall gain blessing for themselves through your offspring, because Abraham obeyed my voice and kept my charge, my commandments, my statutes, and my laws.
- I the Lord am your God; follow my statutes, and be careful to observe my ordinances, and hallow my sabbaths that they may be a sign between me and you, so that you may know that I the Lord am your God.
- May my teaching drop like the rain,
my speech condense like the dew;
like gentle rain on grass,
like showers on new growth. - If my people who are called by my name humble themselves, pray, seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land.
- I will sing to the Lord as long as I live;
I will sing praise to my God while I have being. - To the one who conquers I will give a place with me on my throne, just as I myself conquered and sat down with my Father on his throne.
- You are altogether beautiful, my love;
there is no flaw in you. - Search me, O God, and know my heart;
test me and know my thoughts.
See if there is any wicked way in me,
and lead me in the way everlasting. - This is my commandment, that you love one another as I have loved you.
- Jesus answered him, “Those who love me will keep my word, and my Father will love them, and we will come to them and make our home with them.”
- Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will not pass away.
- Turn my heart to your decrees,
and not to selfish gain. - As a deer longs for flowing streams,
so my soul longs for you, O God. - But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for power is made perfect in weakness.” So, I will boast all the more gladly of my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ may dwell in me.
- Thus you shall keep my commandments and observe them: I am the Lord.
