So is a person who has no self-control over his spirit. - Stop depriving one another, except by agreement for a time so that you may devote yourselves to prayer, and come together again so that Satan will not tempt you because of your lack of self-control.
- But when you give to the poor, do not let your left hand know what your right hand is doing, so that your charitable giving will be in secret; and your Father who sees what is done in secret will reward you.

Stop doing evil. - For from Him, and through Him, and to Him are all things. To Him be the glory forever. Amen.

For the mouth of the Lord has spoken. - Only fear the Lord and serve Him in truth with all your heart; for consider what great things He has done for you.
- But in all these things we overwhelmingly conquer through Him who loved us.
- Therefore you have no excuse, you foolish person, everyone of you who passes judgment; for in that matter in which you judge someone else, you condemn yourself; for you who judge practice the same things.
- Praise the Lord in song, for He has done glorious things;
Let this be known throughout the earth. - For if we have become united with Him in the likeness of His death, certainly we shall also be in the likeness of His resurrection, knowing this, that our old self was crucified with Him, in order that our body of sin might be done away with, so that we would no longer be slaves to sin.
- But just as it is written:
“Things which eye has not seen and ear has not heard,
And which have not entered the human heart,
All that God has prepared for those who love Him.” - But even if you should suffer for the sake of righteousness, you are blessed. And do not fear their intimidation, and do not be in dread.
