Chinese (traditional)- Be angry and do not sin; do not let the sun go down on your anger, and give no opportunity to the devil.
- Do not love the world or the things in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him.
- I was ready to be sought by those who did not ask for me;
I was ready to be found by those who did not seek me.
I said, “Here I am, here I am,”
to a nation that was not called by my name. - You desire and do not have, so you murder. You covet and cannot obtain, so you fight and quarrel. You do not have, because you do not ask.
- I hasten and do not delay
to keep your commandments. - I have not come to call the righteous but sinners to repentance.
- And if you say in your heart, ‘How may we know the word that the Lord has not spoken?’— when a prophet speaks in the name of the Lord, if the word does not come to pass or come true, that is a word that the Lord has not spoken; the prophet has spoken it presumptuously. You need not be afraid of him.
- “All things are lawful for me,” but not all things are helpful. “All things are lawful for me,” but I will not be dominated by anything.
- A faithful witness does not lie,
but a false witness breathes out lies. - Set your minds on things that are above, not on things that are on earth.
- So Jesus answered them, “My teaching is not mine, but his who sent me.”
- For if the readiness is there, it is acceptable according to what a person has, not according to what he does not have.
- He who did not spare his own Son but gave him up for us all, how will he not also with him graciously give us all things?
- For sin will have no dominion over you, since you are not under law but under grace.
- It is the Lord who goes before you. He will be with you; he will not leave you or forsake you. Do not fear or be dismayed.
- Do not think that I have come to abolish the Law or the Prophets; I have not come to abolish them but to fulfill them.
- What then? Are we to sin because we are not under law but under grace? By no means!
- You shall not make gods of silver to be with me, nor shall you make for yourselves gods of gold.
- Return, faithless Israel,
declares the Lord.
I will not look on you in anger,
for I am merciful,
declares the Lord;
I will not be angry forever. - But they who wait for the Lord
shall renew their strength;
they shall mount up with wings like eagles;
they shall run and not be weary;
they shall walk and not faint. - Peace I leave with you; my peace I give to you. Not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your hearts be troubled, neither let them be afraid.
- For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God, not a result of works, so that no one may boast.
- Arise, O Lord; O God, lift up your hand;
forget not the afflicted. - Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be frightened, and do not be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.
- I have stored up your word in my heart,
that I might not sin against you.
The Lord is on my side; I will not fear.
What can man do to me?Whoever is slow to anger is better than the mighty,
and he who rules his spirit than he who takes a city. I appeal to you, brothers, by the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that all of you agree, and that there be no divisions among you, but that you be united in the same mind and the same judgment.Next verse!With image
