- See how very much our Father loves us, for he calls us his children, and that is what we are! But the people who belong to this world don’t recognize that we are God’s children because they don’t know him.
- In the same way, some think one day is more holy than another day, while others think every day is alike. You should each be fully convinced that whichever day you choose is acceptable.
- Then the Lord God said, “It is not good for the man to be alone. I will make a helper who is just right for him.”
- And if you do good only to those who do good to you, why should you get credit? Even sinners do that much!
- I made a covenant with my eyes
not to look with lust at a young woman. - Well then, should we keep on sinning so that God can show us more and more of his wonderful grace? Of course not! Since we have died to sin, how can we continue to live in it?
- I praise God for what he has promised.
I trust in God, so why should I be afraid?
What can mere mortals do to me? - So again I say, each man must love his wife as he loves himself, and the wife must respect her husband.
- You must be holy because I, the Lord, am holy. I have set you apart from all other people to be my very own.
- Believers who are poor have something to boast about, for God has honored them. And those who are rich should boast that God has humbled them. They will fade away like a little flower in the field.
- Therefore, whenever we have the opportunity, we should do good to everyone—especially to those in the family of faith.
- For this is how God loved the world: He gave his one and only Son, so that everyone who believes in him will not perish but have eternal life.
- Then I heard the Lord asking, “Whom should I send as a messenger to this people? Who will go for us?”
I said, “Here I am. Send me.” - God’s will is for you to be holy, so stay away from all sexual sin. Then each of you will control his own body and live in holiness and honor— not in lustful passion like the pagans who do not know God and his ways.
- Finally, all of you should be of one mind. Sympathize with each other. Love each other as brothers and sisters. Be tenderhearted, and keep a humble attitude.
- Then Peter came to him and asked, “Lord, how often should I forgive someone who sins against me? Seven times?” “No, not seven times,” Jesus replied, “but seventy times seven!”
- Though a mighty army surrounds me,
my heart will not be afraid.
Even if I am attacked,
I will remain confident. - For the grace of God has been revealed, bringing salvation to all people. And we are instructed to turn from godless living and sinful pleasures. We should live in this evil world with wisdom, righteousness, and devotion to God.
- Teach those who are rich in this world not to be proud and not to trust in their money, which is so unreliable. Their trust should be in God, who richly gives us all we need for our enjoyment.
- He chose to give birth to us by giving us his true word. And we, out of all creation, became his prized possession.
- In the same way, husbands ought to love their wives as they love their own bodies. For a man who loves his wife actually shows love for himself.
- Don’t be concerned about the outward beauty of fancy hairstyles, expensive jewelry, or beautiful clothes. You should clothe yourselves instead with the beauty that comes from within, the unfading beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, which is so precious to God.
- And remember, when you are being tempted, do not say, “God is tempting me.” God is never tempted to do wrong, and he never tempts anyone else.
- Don’t be concerned for your own good but for the good of others.
- For we are God’s masterpiece. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so we can do the good things he planned for us long ago.
I’m not asking you to take them out of the world, but to keep them safe from the evil one.Who is the King of glory?

he is the King of glory.
