| That’s why those who are still under the control of their sinful nature can never please God. | So then, those who are in the flesh cannot please God. |

| Put on all of God’s armor so that you will be able to stand firm against all strategies of the devil. | Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. |
| So humble yourselves under the mighty power of God, and at the right time he will lift you up in honor. | Therefore humble yourselves under the mighty hand of God, that He may exalt you in due time. |
