Watch ye, stand fast in the faith, quit you like men, be strong.Be on guard. Stand firm in the faith. Be courageous. Be strong.
For I know that my redeemer liveth, and that he shall stand at the latter day upon the earth.But as for me, I know that my Redeemer lives, and he will stand upon the earth at last.
Watch therefore: for ye know not what hour your Lord doth come.So you, too, must keep watch! For you don’t know what day your Lord is coming.
Who art thou that judgest another man's servant? to his own master he standeth or falleth. Therefore let us not sleep, as do others; but let us watch and be sober.So be on your guard, not asleep like the others. Stay alert and be clearheaded.
The grass withereth, the flower fadeth: but the word of our God shall stand for ever.The grass withers and the flowers fade, but the word of our God stands forever.

Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand; By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain.Let me now remind you, dear brothers and sisters, of the Good News I preached to you before. You welcomed it then, and you still stand firm in it. It is this Good News that saves you if you continue to believe the message I told you—unless, of course, you believed something that was never true in the first place.
But the end of all things is at hand: be ye therefore sober, and watch unto prayer.The end of the world is coming soon. Therefore, be earnest and disciplined in your prayers.
Look to yourselves, that we lose not those things which we have wrought, but that we receive a full reward.Watch out that you do not lose what we have worked so hard to achieve. Be diligent so that you receive your full reward.
Except the Lord build the house, they labour in vain that build it: except the Lord keep the city, the watchman waketh but in vain.Unless the Lord builds a house, the work of the builders is wasted. Unless the Lord protects a city, guarding it with sentries will do no good.
The Lord shall preserve thee from all evil: he shall preserve thy soul. The Lord shall preserve thy going out and thy coming in from this time forth, and even for evermore.The Lord keeps you from all harm and watches over your life. The Lord keeps watch over you as you come and go, both now and forever.
Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful.Oh, the joys of those who do not follow the advice of the wicked, or stand around with sinners, or join in with mockers.
And while they looked stedfastly toward heaven as he went up, behold, two men stood by them in white apparel; Which also said, Ye men of Galilee, why stand ye gazing up into heaven? this same Jesus, which is taken up from you into heaven, shall so come in like manner as ye have seen him go into heaven.As they strained to see him rising into heaven, two white-robed men suddenly stood among them. “Men of Galilee,” they said, “why are you standing here staring into heaven? Jesus has been taken from you into heaven, but someday he will return from heaven in the same way you saw him go!”
My voice shalt thou hear in the morning, O Lord; in the morning will I direct my prayer unto thee, and will look up.Listen to my voice in the morning, Lord. Each morning I bring my requests to you and wait expectantly.
No man, when he hath lighted a candle, covereth it with a vessel, or putteth it under a bed; but setteth it on a candlestick, that they which enter in may see the light.No one lights a lamp and then covers it with a bowl or hides it under a bed. A lamp is placed on a stand, where its light can be seen by all who enter the house.

Now I beseech you, brethren, mark them which cause divisions and offences contrary to the doctrine which ye have learned; and avoid them.And now I make one more appeal, my dear brothers and sisters. Watch out for people who cause divisions and upset people’s faith by teaching things contrary to what you have been taught. Stay away from them.
