- In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.

- Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the word of God, which liveth and abideth for ever.
- Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.
- As for God, his way is perfect:
the word of the Lord is tried:
he is a buckler to all those that trust in him. - This is the word of the Lord unto Zerubbabel, saying, Not by might, nor by power, but by my spirit, saith the Lord of hosts.
- Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all long suffering and doctrine.
- As for God, his way is perfect;

he is a buckler to all them that trust in him. - Heaviness in the heart of man maketh it stoop:
but a good word maketh it glad. - Thy word is a lamp unto my feet,
and a light unto my path. - And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.
- Thou art my hiding place and my shield:

- Thy word have I hid in mine heart,
that I might not sin against thee. - Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church, and gave himself for it; That he might sanctify and cleanse it with the washing of water by the word.

- Every word of God is pure:
he is a shield unto them that put their trust in him. - For there is not a word in my tongue,
but, lo, O Lord, thou knowest it altogether. - But I say unto you, That every idle word that men shall speak, they shall give account thereof in the day of judgment.
- For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.
- Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord.
- Order my steps in thy word:
and let not any iniquity have dominion over me. - Who being the brightness of his glory, and the express image of his person, and upholding all things by the word of his power, when he had by himself purged our sins, sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high.
- Ye shall not add unto the word which I command you, neither shall ye diminish ought from it, that ye may keep the commandments of the Lord your God which I command you.
- But he answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God.
- And how I kept back nothing that was profitable unto you, but have shewed you, and have taught you publicly, and from house to house.
- Thy word is true from the beginning:
and every one of thy righteous judgments endureth for ever. - To wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and hath committed unto us the word of reconciliation.
- And whatsoever ye do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God and the Father by him.
- A soft answer turneth away wrath:
but grievous words stir up anger.
